It's raining and there can't be more than 200 people there. ESPN is trying hard not to show the stands.

There was a cool and rainy day/evening couple of years back when the liberty bowl attendance was 4100.

I was there, till then, never left a game early. Left that one at half time. One of the lowest times I've ever been as a Tiger fan. We were embarrassingly awful during that period.

I was there, with most of my family, and stayed until the end (as always). Very ashamed of our fanbase that night. Not all their fault though. Natives of this area are subjected to continual poormouthing of our university and football from early childhood. The inferiority instilling effects of which are compounded by the university's minimal (and often misguided) efforts to build pride.

Wow, my dad and I went to that game and if I remember correctly that was pre-TL too so for tailgating it was just the two of us sitting in lawnchairs in the armory parking lot drinking a sixer of PBR and eating fried chicken. That was such a depressing night.

Sounds like a good time, at least until the game started.

And you can't blame the parents fro not bring the kids to that cold game and it was a school night . There were plenty of free tickets. I gave several hundred away to needy families. They probably could not afford the parking or just did not have a ride at all. Who knows. It was not a good team or a good game time for anyone. No one wants to sit around for terrible football if you don't have to and the people in Memphis don't have to, they can always do something else that night. And if the score is out of hand and your kid is getting sick what on earth are you doing still sitting there?

Ironic coming from a guy that uses every chance to put down the University over the color of uniforms.
