Btw ive never seen anyone complain of 70+ degree football weather. Its a hell of a lot better than what we had vs. Buffalo, emu, navy, and niu last season.

I'd take a bet on having 23K in the stands for BG? Seating capacity is 26K - so that means the stands will be full everywhere except the upper section of the 2nd section on the East Side. Couldn't even come close to that against Missouri at noon on a Saturday in perfect weather. Even still, they claimed there were 20K for that game. yeh, sure there were.

I'm not complaining about 70+ degree weather - I'm complaining about having 1 home game on a Saturday (or during a weekend) from September through the rest of the year. You must think all Toledo fans live in Toledo and can just run over to the game anytime for an 8pm weekday game. It means I have to drive through Detroit rush hour traffic to get there. It's my perspective - but I can't think of any football program that would believe that is a great schedule to have if you want to keep fan interest.

No offense to Kent or EMU, but they will most likely fall in this group this season. We're 4-0 with a few pretty close games under Campbell. I'd do Toledo during MACtion but I don't like those stats very much...

Kind of a sidebar, and I know it's unthinkable with our current secondary, but IMO our defense should be going for shutouts in those games.

If toledo wins the next 2 games i will bet you for sure. Mizzou had 24k and change... So yep thats close to 23k lmao. It is bg... Possibly the first season the game has MACC implications for both teams!! The glass bowl will be rocking if we are 6-0 in conference. Bg would be the clinching game! Bg will travel 4/5k by themselves!!

BG doesn't get 4-5k at a home game. Rather pack the GB with 26k crazy rocket fans.

I would too but it is simply not a reality. BG will travel a little better than Mizzou and much better than every other MAC team, by filling their section and some open general admission seating.

People would be surprised at how many bg fans sit in the boxes as well. The blade suite is bg fans mostly.

I think that a lot will depend on the weather and on how UT fares on Nov. 11 at DeKalb. After the disappointing Missouri turnout, I am not overly optimistic but I will be extremely happy if we can get close to 21,000 for the BG game because that should be enough to put the season average home attendance just over 20,000 which is sort of a benchmark I suppose, although it will still be a far cry from the 30,000 average home attendance racked up in 2001.

RE: Kent State Roll Call
Fans will always come for the big OOC games, BG and big conference games against somewhat well known opponents (I'm pretty sure everyone knows NIU has had our number) but until we really start beating people up and winning those OOC games against name opponents, I don't see attendance going anywhere.

20,000 is a nice place to be. Can we get bigger numbers? Of course. But we need to start winning and I mean 10-2, 11-1 winning.
