As I watched Saturday's game
I was impressed with the the Tigers depth and quality of players. Apparently our recruiting is going very well. By the fourth quarter we were playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores without missing a beat.

As an example, before the season started, many were worried about our running backs. Then our starter went down. Not to worry, Sam Craft came in and did a tremendous job. He is out a game and we see Cooper and Davis and all we can say is Wow! They are really good.

The staff seems to be recruiting quality players, no matter what the recruiting services say.

RE: As I watched Saturday's game
I was impressed/ a little surprised with how much more athletic we were than SMU in certain matchups. Our receivers were quicker and more athletic than the smu defenders guarding them. I know smu was winless. But, we are still talking about the june jones era. Their linemen were big . But otherwise, we looked much more athletic

One thing that is apparent is the EXTRA EFFORT our players put forth. They are taking a 5 yard gain and turning it into 10 yards. I have never seen us strive so hard to get those extra yards and not lost the ball in the process.

We are playing like a real FBS team. A few years ago we probably couldn't say that

This is why I do not get concerned at all when I see we recruited a kid that does not have the flashy and sexy offers. I trust this staff.

When you cannot compete for the big time 4 and 5 star players consistently, it is all about finding the players who are "diamonds in the rough" and players that fit your style. Fuente is excellent at both, especially finding players that fit his system.
