RE: This is what its about
Quote:37th overall in FBS in Scoring.
41st in Passing
46th in Rushing
Sweet balance!!
It is GOOD that we have balance. Both are threats. I know people may scorn at me for saying this, but: We can improve on both, notably Rushing. :)
I was glad Fleck said something about Franklin having a lot to learn after our win. For another game, he'd be completely stuffed in a predictable up-the-gut run, with a long run or two here and there. And not until 4th Q when D wore down would he start breaking thru. Against CMU, who has one of the toughest MAC D's -- we will need to have him bouncing to the outside more and open things up. And EMU's D is not the worst in the world right now -- they're learning via new coaches and can keep a team in check defensively (I'm assuming when they're predictable).
And for passing, Terrell can't throw picks. He's been pretty decent not to, but in the Ohio game he had 1, and another that was tipped (but ya do that enough, a pick will come).
I am positive about it all though. Ohio's D has been historically pretty good/decent. We are still learning. Thankfully, with wins, we have confidence and hopefully we can learn and hone our skillz going thru the next two games before @CMU and NIU come up -- to take ONE of them out possibly!

How is that just 20K? Feels a lot closer to 25K.
Yep, having been in those stands, I'm still firmly in the "close to 25K" camp myself.

I am guessing the whole "girl from Kalamazoo" thing. They need to drop that, or jazz it up big. Maybe the DJ can jump in on it, I dunno. I'm not a fan of that (being repeated), and I can see visitors taking that as the 'highlight' being rather drab. If our fans loved it to death -- I would be 100% fine with it... but I suggest pumping it up. Maybe a more modern version "I met a girl from Wayside at last call..."
For the (biased WMU alum) record, I thought the silly little skit with Buster kicking the guy in CMU clothing's ass to the field was pretty entertaining. Most of the crowd seemed to agree.

Why is it her last year? I think that is great; really cool.
