Frankly, most of us don't care enough to bring our A-game with this guy, it just isn't worth the effort.

We love good, old-fashioned smack talk just as much as the next fan base... but there's a difference between talking smack and feeding the troll.

At least he isn't posting memes as responses anymore. Some things don't change though, he would still gobble the sh1t out of Hunter S. Thompson's c@ck.

Our little troll is growing up, we've fed him so well.

RE: JMU @ Charlotte predictions
I have some worries about the safeties with Marlowe being out for the first half, but hopefully the bye week has allowed JMU to solidify some things on defense. I'd honestly be disgusted if we lost to this Charlotte team. That shouldn't happen.

Yeah, looks like Greene is still out, or not 100%, so that means 1st half 3 true Fr in the secondary the 1st half. Like I said in the prediction thread, with Marlowe out 1st half, you can add 1 additional score for UNCC (+3 to +7) over what they otherwise would have gotten..

Losing to Elon and allowing 63 points on a 2-5 Citadel team looks really bad as well. I just don't see this team putting up more points than either Maryland or Villanova did on us. We have actually been improving on D, but we still need to get a lot better. Can't say the same for their D.
I do think Charlotte will score on us.. and quite a bit, but no way they blow the roof off. Maybe in week 1, but not now.
JMU 45
Charlotte 28

The game AT Elon was definitely our worst performance of the year and multiple TOs cost us that one as well as a crazy rash of penalties including one that negated the tying TD on the final play of the game. However, you do realize the Citadel game was in double overtime (in Charleston) and they scored TDs in both OT periods right? 35 of their 49 points in regulation came in first half.

03-lmfao

So you've cleared that right on up. Without a bunch of turnovers, penalties at crucial times in games and not be able to get one stop in double OT, after taking the entire first half off already, against a pretty crappy 2-5 squad you guys would be uhhhh, what? Better?
Woulda maybe beat Chuck South? Perhaps put another dime on Johnson Smith (isn't that a culinary school?03-lmfao)?

Thanks for the play by play, though. I think you may have been better off NOT trying to make your "case". 04-cheers

Wow that is funny...my point was that we didn't give up 63 in regulation. Both teams were wore out and gave up scores from the red zone in OT...I hope your team overlooks us like you do. I am sure JMU would be so much better playing almost all 1st and 2nd year players as well if it was your second year as a program.

Ahhh to be able to talk a little smack with actual fans. Something that only about 5 wm posters and one UR poster provide us with. No presence whatsoever from the other 9 CAA schools.

RE: JMU @ Charlotte predictions
Charlotte has a young, inexperienced defense, due in part to the dismissal of a sr usc transfer DB this offseason (Mattox, who played well in last year's jmu game), and season ending injuries to their best two LBs (both upperclassmen), which precipitated their losing skid.

However, the defense's biggest problem is a small, inexperienced defensive line. They have one playmaker on that line, and he is playing out of position at NT in a 3-4. He would be a monster in a 4-3, paired properly. The tiny D line cannot stop the run (2nd leading tackler is a safety), and struggles to mount any end rush.

This tiny D line is the difference between Charlotte being 7-0 and 3-4. Unfortunately, it, along with turnovers, will be their downfall again. JMU will have a season high in rushing and walk away with a two score win.

Best hope for the Niners is a little sizzle on offense, hopefully amenable JMU fans looking to have a good time by helping to build tailgaiting tradition at a fledgling program, and beautiful weather for homecoming.
