The problem is that there has not been, and will not be, a single game on the schedule that can grab the national attention. Say what you want about ECU but those VT/UNC wins grabbed attention even if those teams aren't world beaters.

It's a shame because it would have been great to see what Cato could do on the road against an ACC or SEC team.

Or even on the road against ECU. It was scheduled, but the Pirates bailed on hosting Marshall so they could get USF and SMU in conference instead.

Rice fans are notorious to be sarcastic and smart ass. He was which he really meant Marshall and East Carolina would've proved it in the field this year had ECU not switched conferences since both were in the East Division.
