This cluster frack was created when Bush chose to start a war in Iraq. There is no denying that.

Saddam was a beach but he was our beach. Now all hell has broken loose.

Thanks W.

So gassing the Kurds was just something something that happened over there? If you are blaming W for Turkey fighting the Kurds then there's no hope for this discussion.

This is an opinion that can not possibly be confirmed. Just sayin'.

I think the fact that the president has been absent over 50% of his security briefings is a sign he's handled it badly. Along with the statement that ISIS was a "JV" team..

Saddam was terrible too, but I don't think anybody on either side wanted to keep our troops there permanently. That was the only way we could ever "keep the peace", IMO.

What did gassing the Kurds have to do with 9/11?

I agree, but any competent leader would listen to his generals on the ground in present time, no matter what previous deal had been reached, and not not some political advisor in DC to determine an appropriate course of action.

I guess you are technically correct. I believe HAMAS puts bullets in the back of the heads of their fellow Palestinians as opposed to cutting off their heads. But, make no mistake, they turn out just as dead. Likewise, they operate in "suicide by cop" mode most of the time, except they hide behind the skirts of civilians in order to maximize civilian death (at least the death rate) in their conflict with Israel.

ANYONE that views HAMAS as a humanitarian organization is just plain delusional, and living in denial. The roots of HAMAS and ISIS are the same. They differ in tactics, strategy, and the breadth of their goals... HAMAS has strategically dedicated itself to operate only within the boundaries and border of Israel and the Palestinian territories.

I've always wondered if he missed that many of the political adviser meetings?

So you are saying most of the civilized world?

Norway, Russia, Switzerland and the United Nations all recognize Hamas.

Stability is an false measuring stick. Cuba has been pretty stable for a long time. The U.S. wasn't really stable in the late 1700's to the late 1800's.
Saying something is 'stable' is missing the point

Not sure I'd ever use the UN as a paragon of civilization. I wonder if their Blue Hats are still running human Trafficing rings in central and Eastern Europe. There is not a more vile corrupt entity on earth. The delegates wrap their barbarity in the cloak of diplomacy and are awash in a sense of self entitlement. That we end up footing the bill for. I'm glad we are behind in our UN dues. We still fund that snake pit more than any other country.
But down deep I'm sure they are nice people. Not that I've ever had experience with them or anything.

Just when you think Mach can't go any further off the deep end, he goes and argues that Hamas is a humanitarian organization.

They just do terrorism on the side, sometimes.

lol

Nothing, but it obviously pointed out that Saddam had to be dealt with.

To be fair, that's how HAMAS and Hezbollah garner support - they build schools, hospitals, shoot people in the back of the head when they don't do what they demand, and they lob bombs at Israel in order to raise money. And, there's widows and orphans. They make as many widows and orphans as they need to provide charity for them.

By the way, even the civilized world faces reality sometimes, even if it's years too late...

Hamas is added to EU's blacklist of terror - Telegraph

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnew...error.html Wrote:The European Union yesterday put Hamas on its blacklist of terrorist organisations in an attempt to stem the flow of funds supporting its campaign of suicide bombings against Israelis.

My buddies in Erbil are saying that the next great problem is going to be when Kurdistan declares independence in the next few weeks. The Turks will refuse to work with the US or anybody else if Kurdistan is independent.

That card falling is going to make this a lot worse. But you know what, I say good for the Kurds because they deserve their independence.

Offer them EU membership off the bat, then see what Turkey does...
