Final: CMU 34 NIU 17
If Hunt is back, his running will allow us to get a few more WR screens in.
In what is the question.
Sarcasm toward our schemes...if we run it enough, it has to work vs. do what you do best until they stop it
One of the definitions of insanity is repeating the same action over and over and expecting a different result.

One step forward, one step sideways. By the time you get to the red zone and run out of sideways, then you send in the kicker.

We should win the MAC West. No excuses. If it doesn't happen this year, I would love to hear the reasoning from the coaching staff. Maybe we won't hear any reasoning, but they'll tell everybody about how the team will win in recruiting.

Don't want to win the MAC west. Want to win the MAC and then whatever bowl game we get. Lots of pleasant spoils on that path

Don't win the west then we have no chance of winning the MAC. We need to be the KC Royals and play to our strengths and just find ways to win.
Lest anyone forgets, we also need to beat BG. Sucks we have them and northern back to back. That is when we see if this team has a champions mentality.

Obviously NIU loss helps.
But I am not prepared to say UT "should" win the MAC West.
NIU faltered but has beaten better teams than UT before today and is capable of running the table the rest of the way.
Many people thought the division winner could have two conference losses.

And NIU barely beat (a now) 0-6 Kent St. They are no longer the 'team to beat' in the MAC.

Who is?
BGSU I'm thinking....
NIU has slumped for 2 weeks in a row. That's true. SO maybe they don't win another game all season and become irrelevant...who knows? They aren't playing good football right now.

There really is no 'team to beat'. bgSUCKS has struggled a lot, except yesterday vs. OU. UT has played better than bgSUCKS this year.

Why shouldn't UT win the West? Three wins already over West teams, games remaining against three of the worst teams in Div. 1, and two rivalry games. Getting swept by BG and NIU when they're in down years would be a complete failure.

Niu finishes with 4 of its last 5 games being on the road. They'll be favored in all five, but not significantly enough for one to say it's likely that they'll win all 5. Let's just beat 'em and make it not matter what they do in those other games.
