RE: Potential Coaching Carousel
My views, Odom will be gone by the time Fuente decides to leave. As it will be harder to hold on to our coordinators than out head coach.
Freeze and Mullen if both go into a tail spin after starting so strong one or both could be on hot seat next year if they do not produce 9 or more wins.

I would assume Tommy West in the Summer of '06

Florida's AD and Mullen don't get along. Doubt Mullen is even on his list. Freeze would leave everything in his office at the drop of a hat for the Florida job.

Being in the SEC enables Moo and sissy to improve recruiting and all that...and in some hers they will benefit...but that is about it...
Not the immediate, but the overall pecking order in that league...
Alabama, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Auburn on top
Tennessee, SC, TX AM, Mizzou, Arkansas next level
Mississippi, Moo not the basement
Vandy, KY

I'm talking about a head coach leaving here due to his success here, not to his eventual failure. West was fired b/c he was losing. Only one who ever left here on his own, due to being successful, was Fred Pancoast, and then he failed at Vandy.

He later admitted that leaving Memphis State for Vanderbilt was the biggest mistake of his career. It is silly to worry about coaches being hired away. No schools are completely invulnerable - even the richest and most powerful schools can lose coaches (to the NFL).

Oh. Well that was not contained within the question I answered. What you ASKED was, well, re-read it yourself. It's plain as day, and the first item quoted in this post.

That's why I came back to clear it up. But I still think the last phrase in the question made it clear.

Well, up to the summer of 06, he was successful.

Who's worried? Not me. I was simply trying to add info to the conversation.

If we lost Fuente and still had Odom, I hope he'd get a shot. I don't think Fuente is going anywhere this year...now if he can help pull off back to back 10 win seasons? He gone

Spot on regarding Mullen/Foley. Dead wrong on Freeze.
