Why would Kill leave the Big Ten for the Big 12 other than Texas or Oklahoma? Not to mention Kansas is a train wreck. With Kill's age/health, Minnesota is likely his last stop.

He is from Kansas, only reason he might change. I think he jumped at Minnesota job due to health reasons to begin with. It was his big pay day.

Kinda like Jim Phillips. I think he is quite happy at NW. Maybe ND but if Michigan came a calling, I don't think he would jump at it.

I think Penn St made inquiries for alot of money and JP not interested. Same with Kill who I think as long as he is competitive he will retire for Minn. You don't have to hold a tag day for either so more money is not that important as the quality of career.

I think the only job Phillips would consider leaving Northwestern for is Notre Dame.

who/what are the 2 myths?
Harnish and Lynch?
Novak and Doeren?
Barksdale and Casey Weston?
Fresh hot dogs and warm hot chocolate that doesn't taste like slightly chocolate flavored water?

Probably Harnish and Lynch. Maybe Kill and Doeren which really doesn't make a lot of sense.
I was thinking Orange Bowl and Heisman finalist.

Carey's pre-NIU resume is not as impressive as that of Dave Doeren or Jerry Kill. JK had already been successful as head coach of Div. III and Div. II teams before becoming a successful MAC coach, so it was not a big risk for him to jump to B1G coach.

DD was DC at Wiscy, so that gave him BCS coaching experience. He also took what was the best Huskie team in decades and made them even better, leading them to their first two MAC Championship game victories.

Someone made the analogy that Rod Carey was handed to keys to a Ferrari when he took over the Huskies. He has kept them on cruise control, since then. I think it will take more than two or three seasons before Carey gets offers from greener pastures. While losing to FSU is forgivable, it could help Coach Carey if he could get some post season victories.
That's what Jiff said about the job just before DD was hired.

He would take the Presidency of Green Bay or the Bears. His predecessor is the head man in GB.

I was thinking Orange Bowl and Heisman finalist.

Per webster's dictionary:

myth: an idea or story that is believed by many people but that is not true OR story that was told in an ancient culture to explain a practice, belief, or natural occurrence

Don't think any of those things would truly fit the definition of a myth, but I guess Orange Bowl and Heisman finalist would fit. To me, he was referring to individuals, rather than events and myths tend to refer to individuals, rather than events.

So the myth of hotdogs still being sold outside gate 13 fits!
