Blatant No-call By SEC Refs
I'm no Rebel fan, but the refs not penalizing Alabama for the flagrant face mask grab yesterday (which led to a fumble recovery and TD) was atrocious. Reminded me of the targeting no-call in our game last year against UCF, which cost us the game. There is no doubt that in conference games, the higher ranked team tends to get the breaks from the officials (for obvious reasons). No big deal - just an observation.

Bad miss by the refs but if he doesn't fumble the ball it really makes no difference. Impressive win by the Rebs.

Of course, after 10 losses in a row, it was about time.

The calls seem to make more difference that just the play that was affected. It is a psychological tool that works for the team that is favored.

Nice theory, but if that's the case, how do you explain Bama being called for eight penalties and Mississippi only being called for three?

Anyway...what is it with the broken leg thing that happens down there?
From one angle, it did look like a head-stomp, but from the 3rd angle in the video, it clearly was not.

...and basically speared, by a defender who went at his knees.

Maybe not with that particular play. But it still seems like their D plays to disable. I watched the Louisiana-LaFayette game and had to click the channel.

A team adopts the character of their coach. What would you expect from a Freeze led team.

If you watch the play, the pulling of the facemask causes the runner's arm carrying to come toward the defender allowing him to knock the ball out.

In this case, it pissed the Rebels off something fierce, and they broke their foot off in Bama's ass in the second half.

Yea...It definitely can go either way...lol, especially if there's only one call.
But when there's an obvious trend happening in the way a game is being reffed, frustration builds.
The stuff that really hurts, though, is when the refs ignore helmet to helmet or late hits. Last year, the reffing seemed to be against us in general for about the first 4 games, but the word was we were going to have to 'earn' the iffy calls.
No one should ever have to earn helmet to helmet calls.

First game in three years that Bama had more penalties than its opponent.

Really? And caused a weak fumble on a kickoff return? And an ill adivsed pass on the last play of the game?
Rebel fans need to remember, the fumbled kick off and that AL was throwing the ball into the Rebel endzone at the end of the game. Wouldn't exactly call that 'breaking their foot off in Bama's ass in the second half".

Well Bammer did have some "Lame" play calling.
