This move by amazon has absolutely nothing to do with the risk of a lawsuit.

This is ridiculous. Are they going to put a disclaimer up before Sopranos episodes that it could put Italian-Americans in a bad light?

You know what you're getting with the Sopranos. Most people don't remember quite how racist these cartoons were, and wouldn't expect it in what they think is a childrens cartoon.

Sorry, I just think it is above and beyond the call for Amazon to have to do this. I have 3 young kids, I know all the content they are watching. All parents should be that way.

Most people wouldn't remember that Mammy Two-Hands is part of Tom and Jerry, since those episodes were heavily edited/not aired on TV, and they wanted to make sure parents were aware of this. I really don't understand how such a minute detail can cause such ire?

I remember one episode of " The Little Rascals " Where Buckwheat wiped the sweat from his brow and flicked the sweat at the wall and it stained the wall brown.

I find it amusing that half of the country is offended because what the other
half of the country finds offensive, then that offended half finds offensive the fact that
the other half was offended. (yes, that’s how crazily divided we are)

In all fairness, Amazon should put a warning label on their waning labels.

We'd be sweating so hard and you would see droplets of brown stained sweat going down our faces. We weren't playing video games then and very few of us were overweight because we burned the fat out.

Too much PC. We are making ourselves and our children wimps. While the rest of the
world is more concerned with be-headings and genocide, we too often are hearing that
we shouldn't have big drinks at convenience stores or that this faction or that is mildly
upset over some perceived slight. Most of the world realizes that everyone is racist to
some degree, when are we going to realize it and get on with life, or at least try to have
a life.

Maybe they did it so that people on both sides of the PC fence would get outraged and click on links which creates free advertising for their product. I had actually forgotten Amazon Prime even existed until I read that article.

Yep, NG... he tried to push Howard Zinn's book on us, but never "taught" out of it. His core curriculum was using Sinclair's "The Jungle" novel about how capitalism was bad, and certain Hollywood producers (like Disney) were racist ********.

How I passed that class without getting myself thrown out of it, I'll never know. I guess it helps when he gave us _zero_ homework, every class was basically "watch this movie about bigots and racists"... and no tests.

Disney did make a movie that was never released that was extremely racist. Ib think it was called " song of the South"
