Memphis after loss of Dorceus
Sorry if repeat post. Question for Memphis fans. What is the impact of the loss of Doroland Dorecus (sp) on Memphis this year?

Memphis after loss of Dorceus
He was our leading rusher and had some speed. The good news for us was that he wasn't even our starter and we are loaded at RB. We should be fine.

Right. Not the starter. Brandon Hayes is. And we also have Jarvis Cooper, more of a power runner. And at least 2 more behind him. RB is our deepest position.

Kimbrow, a 4* RB out of Melrose, is transferring from Vandy to Memphis

Yeah, but he probably won't be eligible this year, and they were asking about how DD's injury affects us this year. Heck, DD will be back himself next year.

No, Kimbrow won't be eligible this year. Next year, it will be a battle for starting between Dorceus and Kimbrow. We will see some Robert Davis as well. Jarvis will be our hammer back. You will see a battle for starting QB next year, too. Shhh...

RE: Memphis after loss of Dorceus
Dorceus did lead the team in carries, yards and yards per carry (among backs with over 20 carries), long runs and TD's. He was probably the most explosive back that we had. I am really not totally sure about the depth at running back. Dorceus, Hayes, Lynch (QB) and Craft (WR) have gotten around 80% of the carries and yards and all but one touchdown.
Beyond Dorceus and Hayes we have only had 2 other running backs that have played. Both are freshman with only 27 carries between them. Most of those carries, 18 came in the 2nd half against undermanned Austin Peay. As long as we don't have another injury we should be okay.

Scott won't see a single down at Memphis. It will be Brady Davis/Holgerson vs Paxton. Brady will be the most talented. It just depends if Fuente trusts him as a true freshman. I could see Paxton getting the nod next year, while making Brady a redshirt. Then the 2016 job will be wide open

Agree, we have an issue if we have another injury, but for now, I don't think it's a huge blow. Not like if we lost our QB, for example. And I'm assuming Hayes is okay, based on the little info Fuente gave out yesterday.
