I guess you did not read the "WKU vs MTSU Game thread"...This thread actually discussed the game about to be played on the field..

For those going Sat. night, dress warm looks like its going to be in the high 40's and a stiff breeze, do not think any of us are used to that kind of weather just yet......

Sounds like perfect football weather as long as the rain stays away. I sat in a highschool title game last year which was 30deg and rained the entire pre game and game! It sucked.

Damn good weather if you ask me. UAB has asked the Avengers for help in slowing down WKU's offense.

RE: WKU vs UAB game thread
Right now it's calling for the rain to end around 2pm on Friday and a game time temp of 59 and dropping. Might keep some of the older folks away.

With colder temps and it being over a month since we played at home (yea I know should create more excitement) I will be SHOCKED with 20k. I will be surprised with 17k+ and very surprised with 15k or under...

so as you see I think 16k

All I know, rain, cold, snow, hot...I will be there with the wife Saturday night on our 30th anniversary . Yes I have a wonderful wife

The other issue is Fall Break for K-12 students so lots, and I mean, lots of families will be either already near the Redneck Riviera or on their way by the time the game starts on Saturday. ;-)

If it wasn't for this football game we would be there...

not for fall break but to fish. I believe you made that trip a couple years ago and caught the Troy game on the way back?

Any chance I get and one reason I'm glad to be back in the same conference as FIU & FAU. If not for Western sports I would be spending my winters on the Gulf coast. S. Fla is OK for a week or so every once in a while but not my kind of people...

They don't speak my language...country

That's correct. Worked out perfectly that year. Went to the Gulf for vacation and then stopped in Troy for the game on the way back (Tops won btw) and then drove back to Kentucky.

LOL....compared to Alabama, yep, we're Yankees.

Actually, I much prefer the Gulf during Fall Break over Spring Break. The water is still too cold during Spring Break and i'm too old to hang with college students.

Go in May right before school lets out. The prices are great, the weather is PERFECT, and it's post spring break pre summer break. 02-13-banana

RE: WKU vs UAB game thread
Looks like the winds will be dying down close to kickoff so it should not be as bad as it could be cold wise....But yes perfect football weather tomorrow, tailgating with the sun out might still be a little cool with 25 mph guests up until 5 or so...However that is why drinks were invented, haha.....I will be shocked if we have 15k tom. night, our schedule is brutal as far as attendance goes, I see no way in hell we continue the trend last 3 seasons with an increase in average attendance this season with 5 home games after October 1st, I never remember a schedule like we have had this season...A lot of excuses I know, but that is how most folks operate in BG to give them every reason to stay home and from past experience it does not take much for residents in BG and surrounding areas to stay away from a WKU football game...

The attendance for WKU football is ridiculous. The schedule is bad becasue it provides all the poor excuses that the area "fans" need to justify not attending. Having a game at the beginning of fall break this season is a real problem, but people staying home whenever the temperature drops below 60 degrees is pathetic.
If the fans of the Big Ten used that same criteria, most of their games would be played in empty stadiums.

Of course, have 4, you? If I lived in BG and when I did live in BG rarely missed a football game including games below 50 degrees...,Living in Lexington I make it to 2 or 3 a season(Will be there Tomorrow!) which may get tougher considering my 4 and 3 year olds will be involved in different activities as they get older and my son is playing soccer this year..I hate to miss one of his games but do not feel as guilty only missing 1 out of 8.....ALso when I cannot go my tickets are taken care of with someone in my seats....We all know though YOunguns is super fan so Yes you are correct could never match your money and dedication to WKU, congrats!...

Has nothing to do with me....

but I think the people who bit*h the most are the same fans that always has a excuse as to why they are never at a game. If family is important to you then why can't you except it's just as important to other people. If you have things to do...maybe other people do also.

Point about the question...

you can support the program in more ways than showing up. If you live too far away to attend then do it by being a season ticket holder...

glad to see you are doing your part. But I don't think that goes for everyone of our fans that love to complain about something...anything

.25 cents a day is all it takes to get a $75 season ticket

I just saw the over under on the game 72. As high as that is i think it is still to low. 04-jawdrop

I think the game is going to be around 45-41! I just hope UAB is on the winning side of what ever the score is.
