The American conference is an absolute dumpster fire right now. They didnt win a single non-conference game today. Also worth mentioning is that both UNC and South Carolina got beat.

Feels good to be in CUSA knowing we have the best Football conference of the G5. I think its almost a lock now that we get the lions share of the revenue sharing.

Yep, AAC went 0-6 OOC today. They had some tough games, but got embarrassed across the board with the exception of USF.

Agreed with that CUSA is the best of the G5....CUSA just needs to make sure it takes care of business in a majority of the remaining OOC games:

WKU hosts Army
ODU at Vandy
Middle Tennessee host BYU
UNT at Indiana
UTSA host New Mexico
Rice hosts Hawaii
Rice at Army

BYU and MT will be the most difficult game in that mix

Out of all those games you have listed above, all of those are winnable. MTSU obviously has the biggest challenge but I think the odds are good that we could win 5-6 of the 7 listed.

True.. Here's some other interesting stats:

Losing records
C-USA - 6 of 13
AAC - 6 of 11
SBC - 6 of 11
MWC - 5 of 12
MAC - 6 of 13

Winless Teams
C-USA - 0
AAC - 1
SBC - 2
MWC - 0
MAC - 3

Teams with Winning Records
C-USA - 3
AAC - 3
SBC - 2
MWC - 5
MAC - 5

Of course, all this means little in that we're only 3-5 games into the season for all these teams.

I feel like it's embarrassing it took overtime to to beat Tulsa. But after blowing the lead against Illinois last week, it's seems like something Texas St tends to do.

I agree, a gritty win can boost confidence. I hope we play in the same conference again too. The OOC games coming up help but it's not quite the same as fighting for conference standing.

Why is there a thread about an AAC team playing a Sun Belt team on the C-USA board? Can't this be moved somewhere else?

Well good since the AAC sucks so bad and C-USA is so great I can just pencil in ECU winning out and Marshall is probably going to lose at least 1 playing all these great teams. 04-cheers
