There's a reason we have MODS.

I noticed there were a lot of ECU threads after we beat VaTech and then it somewhat exploded after we beat UNC. I think the same will happen if Cincy knocks off OSU and/or Miami. But you'll notice that there were a lot of threads started by fans of other schools in the conference (thanking, high-fiving, feel good, way to go, etc.), then you have the we hit the AP poll, we hit the Coaches poll, Steve Spurrier said...., Carolina whiners, etc. threads.

It's going to happen and for the most part the subjects of the threads affect the conference as a whole. Yeah, there are a few that are probably unnecessary, but...........

If the MODS think it's over board, they'll merge some or put a stop to it.

Perhaps my memory isn't as good as rulethirty's, but I don't recall a time before this year that ECU and UCONN shared the same conference...

I'm glad that Pirates and their fans are here, are doing well, and proud enough to be in AAC to be vocal about it. Any of us beating the in-state big dog is worth a dozen or so threads. Football wins over Florida, Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, LSU, or Tennessee by our neighboring conference brothers should get the same space in this fan's opinion.

The more interesting discussion to watch will be in a few months when jonesing tries to convince UCONN fans why the 5 starters for the Pirates are statistically better than the 4 of the starters for the Huskies. :)

If you've got legit news, start a thread. I don't care how many, that's all good reading. The only thing that's annoying are the 'nonsense' threads, that can really be a comment in an existing thread... or threads being hijacked by deranged haters of one team or another. It clutters up the forum. But hey, legit news, or any content that's 'new' to this forum, make it a thread.

I think you need to develope thicker skin, because frankly there was absolutely nothing "witty" about your post.

Actually I find Louisville (former AAC) posters particularly annoying as well. I have no idea why they would be posting here, just as ECU fans shouldnt be over on the CUSA board posting a bunch of stuff. Especially conference expansion issues here. Their admins decided to go in a different direction and they should follow their lead.

My TU jersey has Golden Hurricane on front and "AAAARRRRRRRR" on the back. I'm taking a backseat happily to ECU this year.

It's fine. We did the same thing last year when UCF was edging by close games left and right against good teams. Now ECU is purely dominating most of the teams on their schedule, more reason to brag.

NOW I'M NOT SAYING that UCF is far more humble than ECU is, no way.

Take it elsewhere, this is about the conference not jealousy. Your UCF smack is weak. ECU should be proud of what it's accomplished and we are pulling for either UC or ECU to run the table and put the profit5 to shame. So suck it up and limit the smack to whenwe finally play, this is a sibling rivalry.
