June Jones' recruiting
We will be starting a walk-on QB against a TCU because he has looked better than any of the QBs June recruited.

But but but Trent Dilfer thought Burcham would be a great college quarterback...

RE: June Jones' recruiting
2 are injured (1 is out fro the season one isnt at full capacity), one is the elite 11 mvp who many believed would be a star, the other was a highly rated 4 star borderline 5, the 3rd is a freshman ... 2 of the 3 barely even knew jones system ...

in all honesty the "walk-on" is by far the most experienced in junes run and shoot system (who has been with jones fro 4 years), burcham has 2 and the rest no more than one or a few moths

i honestly dont even blame it on recruiting but development & experience...anyone who has watched davis can definitely see he is talented, he is unrealistically elusive and fast and throws a decent ball, but is completely unrefined in his skill set and in knowledge in junes system

RE: June Jones' recruiting
Quote:5: Besides Matt Davis, who we touched on at number nine, Jones has put together one of the deepest depth charts at the QB position in the nation, not just the American. In addition to former 4-star QB from Texas A&M, Jones has a stable of Mustangs he can turn to if need be with Cayman Carter, Kolney Cassel, Neal Burcham, Austin Kent and Garrett Krstich waiting in the wings for their shots. Burcham put on a decent showing in SMU's final game last season against UCF due to Gilbert's injury, but he's not even listed as the team's No. 2 at the moment. Plenty of quarterback depth, indeed.

USF can relate. Skip Holtz left the cupboard extremely bare. Especially at the QB position. Hopefully these other guys pan out for you.
