He is gone, but based on last year, the results remain the same.

10 years of mediocrity followed by only half a six pack of national championships? Well I suppose it probably is best that APP doesn't dream too big, that way they'll never be disappointed.
If you call undefeated regular seasons and playing with the big boys for some of those prior years mediocrity then we could take a look at some of your years, which wouldn't compare. Heck kids in college were just out of preschool when GS last won a NC.

From '89 to '04 the only thing APP ever did in December was piss in their own Cherios with spectacular first round flame outs.

Now yeah we have the 'He Who Must Not Be Named' year and that Valdosta state experiment that were some down years it's true. But at least we can say we played in late December the last 3 years we were eligible to in the FCS. You guys haven't sniffed a Semi final game since 2007.
From 2003 through 2009 Georgia Southern only went to the play offs two years and crapped in their pants each time. Guess you don't realize App State has the second most FCS playoff games played, and you were not #1.

I know this is smack talk but do you realize what you just said? We are two schools smacking each other about the last time each went deep into the playoffs and it was within 7 years ago. Think about how few schools can even say that yet there were two of them within the SoCon and now those same two have risen to the next level together. We two are so used to winning and competing against each other that we've failed to see the landscape pass by. As much as I hated App St in the SoCon, I am so glad we came together to the SunBelt.

Now, back to the hatefest. 05-mafia

Also I heard the grounds crew at Paulson was canned this week?!? No clue why. Kinda mad.

Looks like the athletic department contracted out the new crew to "Armanti Edwards Lawn Care Service."

We lost at Montana in the semis in 2009 (the snow game). Get your facts straight before posting. 03-banghead And national championships in your own stadium should have an asterisk (*).

uhh... 56 playoff games played (GS) is definitely higher than 41 (APP). Perhaps you were thinking of something else? Like most times losing in the first round?

Oh and with regard to actual playoff games played, yeah actually we are number 1.

And App was 1-A for a few years before we even had a team. Also, they have been eligible for the playoffs longer than we even had a team.

The goat jumpers got a HUGE head start, and we still come out on top.

All if that means nothing come Thursday night. It is going to be a war in Statesboro!

No it shows over a long period the consistency of winning for our program. And if ours are millennium then yours don't really matter either. I tell you though the only real thing that matters to me is this Thursday night. Will see whats what then. Im sure it will be an exciting one like most times. Usually doesn't matter the record of either team, its always a battle.

RE: yes!!!!
We were discussing consistency in making the FCS playoffs. Not that we should really care.
Georgia Southern has not consistently made the playoffs as much as other schools.
Montana made it the most years.
App State and EKU tied for the most years after Montana.
Georgia Southern was fourth.
