UAB fans need to start hitting the road with the team. This will be important when bowl selections come around. MSU was a nice start.
Take lots of crowd photos that show traveling fans, tailgates, road Blazer walks etc.
Get accurate photos of the home side of our games, tailgates, Blazer walk, and debunk the negativity surrounding attendance. Especially on twitter and local media.
Make an effort to get folks to games. Call out on here if you need tickets. Bring any extra tickets to the Blazertalk tailgates so we can pass out if needed.
Talk up road trips to WKU and MTSU. It would be great to get 1,000 up there for each.
It goes without saying that the football team has to do their part. What I am getting at is that there may be more bowl eligible teams than there are slots for and we need to show we can put people in the stands. We don't have to out-draw and P5 schools but we may have to show we can bring more than say FAU for an example.
Just a few random thought.
For what its worth, my employer had several for free this morning (to the A&M game). I don't know about the number available, but I know they were all taken by 9am.

I expect a nice crowd this weekend. ~30,000. A&M can travel well. And UAB has more positive energy than it's had in 10 years.

We haven't played A&M before, so I'm not sure how their crowd will compare to Jax and Alabama St.

Yeah, and the weather is supposed to be cooler too. AU is also off this week, so maybe a few of their folks will come watch us play.

I expect a good crowd this Saturday because of the large alum base A&M has in the metro. I think, as excited as we are, for there to be a dip in attendance for FIU, because it'll be all us. I doubt they bring anybody.

UAB has two games that bode well for the future of attendance. UAB won handily against a team considered one of our instate rivals and showed up well against a SEC team favored by more than 4 TDs. We play an exciting type of football and can promise an exciting game to watch. If the fans come once, they might just come back for more as UAB seems to play a full 4 quarters of the game.

AAMU fans won't have to "travel" this weekend because a great deal of them reside in the Birmingham Metro area. Since you have a lot of families in the Birmingham area that have ties to both AAMU and UAB I expect a pretty nice sized crowd.

Ditto. They sent out an e-mail at my workplace at 8:45 and they were gone by 9 am. I asked the ones distributing them, and they said they were given nearly 200 tickets. Saw lots of disappointed folks when they found out the tix were gone. Have heard several folks talking about us through the hallways. Folks are paying attention.

Definitely try to make it to road games if possible. I'll be at all the remaining road games, except Arkansas.

If things progress as we expect them to, we need to have a large crowd at the MTSU game.
That will be my next best chance to making an away game.
That and then the Southern Miss game possibly.

I'll be at the MT game +3-5 depending.
My brother played at MT and he has been bragging for the past year. i would love to flip that script this year.

You know it's a shame we have to take photos for folks to believe our attendance numbers. During the Troy game I walked over to visit someone I knew who I thought would be in the wheelchair accessible area due to having CP. I couldn't find him but I thought about all the past disagreements between UAB and Troy fans on attendance so I took some quick photos and, sure as shootin', they came in handy in some attendance discussions.

There is definitely interest in this game. Our church is doing a group deal through the Faith & Family promotional. I was expecting 50 or so to go, we ended up getting 150.

One good thing about the FIU date... UAT is off that day. Maybe we can attract the casual fan wanting to attend a game but not wanting to miss the Gumps' game. Probably not as many as what Troy and A&M will bring but maybe enough to make up a little...

If I ever get around the renewing my medical for my pilots license, I'm flying to myself to FAU - their campus/stadium is right next to the airport & was once part of it back in WW2 (former USAAC base). As to this year, I'll be doing my part to WKU/MTSU won't make USM due to being on call that week but may swap w/ someone so I can. As to AA&M, I think the crowd will be bigger than Troy so will probably be our last best chance to impress w/ large crowds as in the remaining games, the visiting team probably won't have as much come due to distance

Alabama is off on Sept 27, when we play FIU at home. and on Nov 1, when we play FAU down there. Hopefully, some of them will come out on the 27th. FIU won't bring 500 people up here.
