AAC!!! AAC!!! AAC!!!
Did Jeff Sagarin predict CUSA would go 5-0 vs the AAC, SunBelt, MAC, and MWC the first weekend of the college football season? Hellz knaw!!! And Sagarin is about as worthless as the paper it is printed on.
Hell, you don't even like the AAC knucklehead.
Well, his rankings do take into account the CUSA wins this past weekend.
Anyway, I am not surprised with the CUSA wins over the MAC and Sun Belt. Those conferences are beneath CUSA in the food chain. As for UTSA over Houston, UTSA is a good team. They were underrated.
Oh, and you are correct, I am not the biggest fan of the AAC. I was hoping we would get out, but it is what it is. You make the best of the hand that you are dealt. All and all, it is a solid conference.

North Texas > Tulsa
UTSA > Houston
The only thing #AmericanRising is their members' losing streak against C-USA...
Lmao
ECU vs Marshal: 10- 5(ECU)
Tulsa vs N Texas: 17- 7(Tulsa)
UTSA vs Houston 1-1(TIE)
Tulane- is just an awful add, and i think we should have taken Rice over them.
After Cinncy and Louville. The best teams to come out of CUSA are ECU and UCF... C-USA common don't hate us we moved up... AAC will rise and it's the only hope to fight the p5. BYU and Boise jump on board with AAC, C-USA will be dissolved and render completly useless
It's interesting how in one post you're living in the past and hoping for the future but completely neglecting the present.
just what i was thinking...

Delusional AAC is delusional

Completely agree with you. Huge upside with UTSA. We are lucky the AAC was in such a hurry to get to 12, because I think if the AAC still had open membership slots, UTSA would be high on the list of programs to be invited. Old Dominion will probably rise just as quickly.
I am betting that the AAC will pass on UMass long term and not be able to land BYU and Air Force as members. As a result, as soon as UTSA and Old Dominion get a few more years under their belts, they are next to move up to the AAC. There is a huge ceiling for both schools and they are both just getting started.
The next move up is to a P5 conference; not another G5 conference. You guys have really convinced yourselves that the AAC is some elite G5 conference.......ha-larry-us!
You are saying that UTSA and Old Dominion are going to jump from CUSA directly into a P5? Really?
Hey, I just mentioned two schools that have an upside. I never said anything here about the AAC being an "elite G5 conference" and I wasn't comparing it to CUSA. However, now that you mention where the conferences rank, let give you a dose of reality. The AAC may not be a P5 conference, but it is still better than CUSA. It has better brand name schools, better academics, better athletic programs, and better TV exposure (almost ALL games are on ESPN).
The only thing hilarious is how some fans here are so jealous of ECU, Memphis, Houston, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa, and UCF getting a step up in class. The AAC absolutely IS better than the rest of the G5 conferences (with the possible exception of the MWC, which is about on par with the AAC).
they're not going to understand just don't even try lol
