Rice has no business being in the top 5. 20-25 if you must, but there's really no shame in losing big to Notre Dame and Texas A&M. They sure as hell shouldn't be worse than Kent State.

The Bottom 10 is an interesting list. It isn't a true ranking, but it does give insight into how bad teams are viewed by a person in the sports media universe. Right now C-USA is the only G5 conference without a team ranked on this dubious list and I think that is a reflection of how the sports media views our OOC success this season. Right now, Rice is the only C-USA team without a win, but their 2 games were against Notre Dame and Texas A&M.

If we can finish our OOC schedule strong, our conference games will be viewed more favorably by the sports media, and reasonable college football fans that follow the G5s. Some in other conferences will never concede that our conference is better this season. If their best team lost to one of ours some of them will find some excuse for losing. We can't stop that. The good news is their warped opinions don't matter. Lets hope we finish the OOC schedule strong.

it doesn't mean we're the new sec but it's nice to see our predicted death by the belties has not yet occurred.

The MAC and SB are dreadful this season ....And to read SB fans this offseason, saying losing WKU and adding Idaho and NMSU was a plus....Idaho and NMSU have a lot of potential.....40 years in still waiting for that potential to display...
