FCS Slayers! 04-rock

C-USA is 7-0 vs the G5?? Might have to give them the nod as top G5 conference at the moment. Can't say I saw that coming...impressive!!!

Well you didn't ask WHO they beat? But let's wait till is over. They also have one loss vs FCS which is not good and no wins vs P5

They've defeated the preseason 3rd place AAC team on the road by 20 points, and the preseason 5th place AAC team by 36 points.

Preseason? Means jack. You really think SMU will finish fifth in this league or that Houston 3rd?
Why don't we wait until later to see how big those victories really where

Fundamentally, i agree that preaeason means jack. Still, beating two AAC teams by such massive margins probably means something.

RE: AAC record vs FBS through Week 2
Our conference's single FBS win is against Vandy, who is currently:
114th in passing yards
119th in rushing yards
125th in points for
117th in points against
126th in offensive efficiency (127 is SMU, 123 is UCONN, 122 is Houston)

It looks like Vandy would struggle to compete in a lot of FCS conferences. That is our conference's signature win.

Guess Aresco won't be using those stats in his "P6" arguments. That is, if he still plans to embarrass himself by arguing the point.

I thought AAC fans overwhelmingly supported him pushing the P6 talking point???

RE: AAC record vs FBS through Week 2
I think it is fair to say the AAC is off to a slow start, but have 13 remaining P5 games to finish strong.

Cincy @OSU, @Miami could win both, both teams week at QB.
ECU @VT, UNC I think UNC is there best shot.
USF vs NCSU, @WISC NCSU is there best shot, not sure how good USF backup is. NCSU good offense, porous defense.
Memphis @ Ole Miss
UCF @Missouri
Temple @PSU
SMU TCU TAM
Tulane Duke Rutgers

- When 4+, that should be considered very successful
- Should when 3 of these four - Miami, Rutgers, NCSU and Duke, respectful and probably best of G5.
- When 2 of the above 4; no setting AAC from the rest of the G5.
- When 1 or none, total disaster for the AAC this year.

In addition, AAC should start winning and dominating other G5 teams.

Yeah, that URI win last week was tough. So, so, tough! How did you guys find the intestinal fortitude to pull off the win?

Hell they have the Akron Zips next week, so things get much tougher for them.

Why is the AAC the only conference to play P5 teams worth a damn? Wish we has some Wake Forests or Indianas on the schedule
