RE: Wagner @ FIU
FIU misses a FG to end the half so it's 27-3 at halftime.

Take and run with it Panthers! I didn't get to see the game, unfortunately. What are some of the strengths that started to bloom that you can build on?

The defense played very well again. Our pass rush has been very solid the first two weeks (mind you they were FCS teams), which has led to forced turnovers. Last week a true freshman QB (McGough) came in during the 2nd quarter and never left the game. Against Wagner, McGough started and played relatively well. His stats should have been better but there were a couple bad drops (including a wide open bomb that would have been a sure TD). We also started a true freshman RB (Gardner) who has much more speed than our old starting RB. Gardner had 15 carries for 138 yards.

If we are going to get better, we need a better offensive line. They really struggled to open up any running lanes against two FCS teams. This will really hurt us on short yardage situations.
