It is replies like this one that doesn't help a civil dicussion about a basketball recruit. Most posters are actually discussing the recruit. Why don't you try that.
Civil discussion left when you tried to troll ramen, pimp a solid recruit (like what we need to get) as the 3rd best recruit in NC and acted as if he was a 4-5 star recruit when he is a solid high 3. If you had lefted out the pop shot at ramen civil talked could have happened, but no you just had to. You just had to try troll someone, making even harder for the rest of us ECU fans, you know the level headed or properly medicated ones to be able have those civil discussions.

Larry is all over 3* recruits knowing he can coach them up and hopefully Lebo can do the same. What this does is let you plant the flag in your own state. Get one and it gets easier.

You might be taking message boarding a little bit to seriously fellow. We are talking sports not life and death. A little perspective might be in order. Btw, I have seen many more ridiculous statements about football from so called level headed fans than anything ever discussed about basketball. Now stay on topic.

Pony94 Donnie Knoxville is selling Bacon on playing PG. Donnie doesn't know how to recruit 4* and 5* talent SMU shouldn't worry about Crawford or Bacon being lured to Hillbilly Hill. Tyndall got so despert he took two low 3* over the weekend. They actually also believe that Skal Labissiere will graduate early and that they will be Memphis out for him.

Jesus. Christ. C'mon Pirates... it's OK to be excited, but this kind of thread invites in all the trolls/duplicate account users (CaliCat) and others who love to bash ECU.
We got a decent bball commitment in Barkley. Why brag about it? We've got a long way to go, and picking up guys like KB needs to be the NORM. Let's save our PUBLIC excitement for 4* & 5* guys.

What so you can creep in the corner and do the dirty deed you do? I didn't start this thread and you are as big a troll as anyone on BBS. You couldn't run to CUSABBS fast enough to troll them hype the TV schedule. Glass houses

Watching this episode of Jerry Springer play out (that was a great line BTW and it’s been quite entertaining) I have to say that this post makes the most sense and I think sums it up.
ECU basketball fans should be excited about a recruit like this and I can totally understand it, however not to come across as cocky or arrogant regarding basketball in the AAC but this isn’t CUSA any more. Your playing conference games night in and night out vs programs with national brands like UConn, Cincy, Memphis, and Temple. One of the fastest rising programs in SMU, two programs with history who just hired high profile coaches in Houston and Tulsa. You have the potential to have almost all of your games on national TV with a TV package as good as almost any conference in the country. Not to mention the reigning national champions.
It seems to me (just my opinion) the reason people give ECU fans crap when they start threads like this is that now that your in the AAC this is the kind of kid that should be a given when you land them, not some special event. The standards have changed, the bar has been raised from not only a recruiting standpoint but also from an OOC game scheduling standpoint. With the depth of this conference the exposure it brings now in basketball this kind of kid isn’t going to move your program forward as much as he’s just going to keep you from sliding backwards.

Well he is visiting so there is a chance that he might sign. Being from Florida he may not be as brain washed as a kid from ACC country. Hard to call right now.

I understand the lay out fine. The bottom of the AAC was horrid last year, including Temple at #178 RPI, and most of those already bad teams lost significant players and appear be getting worse, not better this year unfortunately. Temple lost some significant players including a transfer big who was one of the most productive players in the AAC to Ohio State. UCF lost their two best players to NBA camps and were like a bad 220 RPI team even before that, USF was 230 and lost about everyone and have a new coach etc, etc. Houston was mediocre and lost their best players to the Big 12. At the top most of those teams have major player turnover as well other than SMU and Tulsa, but then Tulsa has a new coach.
I've studied what what every team returns and adds in this league and it looks like a down year for the league overall on paper. We actually return about as much experience as anyone and add one of the better immediate impact newcomers who started 19 games at Florida State to replace the best player we did lose as well as have one of the better freshman in the league coming in and a starting center who couldn't go last year. We won't win the league but we shouldn't be overwhelmed either the way we have been recruiting and the experience and newcomers we have and a lot of this league at the bottom just looks flat out bad right now. I certainly think we can be mid level.
