Have you seen some of the threads on this board?

Nobody on this board cares about this nobody recruit. Post a thread when you beat Florida, Indiana, or Kentucky out for a recruit.

What about when Jeantal Cylla commits can we post a thread then or are Memphis, Ok state, and like five AAC offers not enough?

With offers like those I'm a little surprised that ECU got him.

That was actually pretty funny

Ain't me, ECU supplies the material.

I read once that Italy had the 3rd largest army in the world in 1940.

j/k

Congrats to ECU.

Can't you guys just be happy that ECU fans *noticed* a basketball commitment during football season?

A cultural change is afoot.

As if that's all you sign. I'll keep this in mind when there are other threads talking about commits on this board though.

They will probably be worthy threads about top 100 recruits

At least one organization thought this guy was a top 100 recruit.

There aren't any other ECU's type schools on that list with commits. All the rest are pretty much top 25 type programs. It's not like they are just throwing random crap up there. They really believe he's that good.

You use one obscure service doesn't justify his worth. People here use Rivals, ESPN, Scouts, and 247.

We'll if you looked at it objectively that site is on top of this region and state more than just about anyone, and the guy that runs it is the director of the Phenom camps where they invite the top 150 prospects from North Carolina to their camp. They do the same in the neighboring states as well.

He's getting about as up close a look as you possibly can at this talent so if he thinks Barkely is #3 in the state of NC I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

whether he is truly the third best player or not, he was a solid addition for ECU.

247 has him as the 6th player in NC, which is still pretty good.

It is all in good fun. I just wanted to poke at Ramen Tiger. The rest of you joined in, which made it really lively.

You are pretty awful at deduction if that's what you've drawn out of my post.

I'm excited about the pickup. Didn't have offers from UNC and Duke or anything but had offers from some solid programs that I'm sure most of the ECU haters on this board would say are superior programs to ECU.

"Notable schools to offer Barkley include Cincinnati, Virginia Tech and VCU. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that he chose ECU, he mentioned to Scout a couple months ago he could see himself fitting in Lebo’s system."

Yeah, there's no way he had those offers, especially VCU. I've been following VCU's recruiting pretty closely because Levan Alston, our top target besides Jalen Brunson has been down to essentially Temple and VCU. If Levan Alston, a top 100 recruit, isn't even close to the top of VCU's board, there's no way Kentrell Barkley had an offer.

VCU has 2 scholarships left with offers to Tevin Mack (4*), Malik Beasley (4*), Haanif Cheathem (4*), and Levan Alston (4*). There is no way he had a legit offer.
