RE: Prediction.....MSU/Oregon, scUM/ND, Due/Pew
CMU @ Purdue (50% Chance Winning): Toss up. CMU will be CMU, struggling to have an even or winning record. Purdue will be shy of that, but will improve this season. But by 2nd week? Not so much. CMU looked poor last week except the 3rd Q.
37-35 PURDUE

UM @ ND (60% Chance ND): ND is going to aim to go out in a blaze of glory. Biggest game of the year. They don't even play MSU this year. All chips toward the Ann Arborites. ND will likely be doing the chicken dance back at UM, even though that doesn't make any sense since THEY'RE leaving.
21-27 ND

MSU @ Oregon (65% Chance Oregon): MSU looked impressive beating a playoff-quality D1AA team in stomping fashion, as if it was NIU playing Presbo. However, B1G teams don't do well on the road in PAC-12 country. MSU's D will keep it within range OR allow a comeback to happen to make it in range. But Oregon's going to win without any gasps of breath.
24-41 Oregon

NIU @ Northwestern (50% Chance of Winning): Toss up. Northwestern just lost some key players going into tomorrow. You don't know if NIU is going to be 7-5 or 10-2 this year, given their easy conference schedule + NO information to go on last week, except you know they'll have a winning record. NW is against all odds, but they know it, and they take NIU as a REAL opponent, as if they're starting the B10 season.
31-28 NIU

Missouri @ Toledo (57% Chance Toledo): Toledo looked great last week against a FF D1-AA team. Missouri looked like they took a step back and will be a (merely) competitive SEC team this year. Toledo is as hungry as a horny freshman girl in a short skirt, all liquored up at a frat party. Except this frat party's coming to her dorm room -- the Glass Bowl. Dare Dorm 25: Welcome to Toledo.
30-38 Toledo

CMU over Purdue. Purdue may have beaten us, but I'm just not impressed with them. Purdue's QB and run-defense is terrible. CMU will have watched the film and also.

UofM over Notre Dame. I think is this is the season UofM starts to get relevant again. Apparently Hoke hasn't beaten MSU, OSU, or ND on the road yet. I think that streak ends tomorrow.

MSU over Oregon. Can any team score on MSU?

Pinkle got out of Toledo. Why would anyone go back there on purpose?

LOL.

Unfortunately, I see Missouri beating Toledo. This is a ranked Missouri team I believe and I think Toledo's taken a step back. Just because Toledo has a history of beating ranked teams doesn't mean it'll happen tomorrow.

I still think Purdue's offense is better than we give them credit for.

I expect Purdue to beat CMU.

I think this season will prove that Toledo has the best qb in the MAC. Generally the team with the best qb tends to win it.

As fairness to the former team when moving Up in the college ranks. I think it's polite. However, he probably would have rather chose last year than this year to walk into the Glass Bowl.

Quote:This is a ranked Missouri team I believe and I think Toledo's taken a step back.

Yeah, they're ranked, but, not by so much, and in many people's eyes it's a wait-and-see. Toledo looked impressive beating a top D1AA team (aside from ND State who should be FBS) by a larger score than any FBS team against a top-quality one -- exception MSU.

Quote: Just because Toledo has a history of beating ranked teams doesn't mean it'll happen tomorrow.

It's not just that, though. Toledo's on the rise with the Alabama QB, as they showed it last week. Yes, it was one week -- I could be wrong. Week 2 is still a guessing-game week. But I'm basing it off the assertion that Toledo's Up, and Missouri's Down -- and in the Glass Bowl the opponent will then frown.

Quote:I still think Purdue's offense is better than we give them credit for.

Possibly. Their QB though threw for 50% against us. They wised up and started running the ball on us to push us away. I think they DO have a better offense than last year, which I think will be the key in the toss-up. However, their D stinks. So unless their O is unstoppable (which it's not) -- that's a big hole. Hence, who-the-hell-knows. :)

But yes, if I had to pick, I would go with Purdue. So I should have put it at 51/49.
