If the game is picked up in the Bay Area of California, I would imagine more sportsnet channels will get it as well. Channel 696 on DirecTV. I'd say that the ASN folks are doing a good job in their inaugural year of getting distribution. Sorry, IceJus, all 30 games are being distributed across C-USA footprint and then some.

Maybe (and probably) this has been in the works for quite some time, but it sure did seem that it came together quite quickly (and nicely).

Give 'em a month or two, and we may even see more areas pick the games up. I just hope there aren't too many glitches.

For how many years is the Sinclair/C-USA contract ? Does this involve any hoops ? Sorry if this has been answered previously.

The contract with Sinclair is for 2 years which means all of the current media contracts will be up for renewal/renegotiation at the same time. The 2015/16 school year is the last for current contracts with Fox, CBS, ESPN (Champ FB game only) and Sinclair's ASN. Should be interesting to see what happens over the next year and a half.

If NBC, CBS, Fox, and ASN work together (LONGSHOT) CUSA could see every conference controlled football games broadcasted and every in conference basketball game broadcasted. This would mean however they have to be willing to not have a linear schedule like they do now. (Wednesday/Thursday and Saturday)

Want to appear big time gotta act big time. This means games Mon-Thurs and then Saturday with a game or two on Sunday.

Wow !

Wonder how ESPN nabbed the championship game ? I'd rather the game be on one of the other networks, that have other C-USA contests

The right to first refusal legal fight. Fox and ESPN settled and ESPN got the championship game.

It will be very interesting, if we the teams in C-USA can win their OOC games and end the next two seasons with multiple ranked teams. An access bowl team would be nice too.

FIU's game vs. Bethune Cookman this Saturday will be broadcasted by ASN and will be carried live in 64 TV markets, including Miami/Ft. Lauderdale's MyTV33, which is the first time I've read a local channel carrying ASN game so far. Good stuff there.

Coast to coast and border to border for both ASN games this weekend. Not bad for the first weekend of this deal.

Wonder if any C-USA games are being shown away from the continental USA ? Hawaii, Alaska, Canada ? That would be a hoot

Uhm, I guess we won't be getting the FIU BCU game then? That's a bummer.

Weird indeed.

Another football season, guys! No matter how it ended up the previous year, or how low expectations might be, it's great....Isn't it?

Go Panthers! Go C-USA!

The funny thing is that the WPB station didn't pick it up but the My33 station (Miami/Fort Lauderdale), which is not a sinclair station per their station guide, did pick up the game. Works for me, I would rather have the exposure in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market. Go F I U!

So who determines who carries these games, the local owned channels? It says Lexington has FOX 56 for Sinclair but I did not see any CUSA games....Maybe its on cable but it was not on Direct TV...

Does Fox 56 have a sister channel or sub channel? Could've likely been there. Since DirecTV doesn't let you plug your OTA source into it's receiver though you're still screwed. #DishMasterclass
