I found this site Geodistance that allows you to plot distances with your mouse on googles satellite images. I thought it was pretty cool. There may be better ones and I dont know that I would use it for anything technical but it did what i wanted it to do.

(wanted to know how far i had jogged and ridden MY BIKE)

There's a tool on Google Earth that let's you do this also. I use it at work, but more so for the same reason that you are.

For tracking runs, bikes, etc, I would recommend using mapmyrun.com. It has some cool features that will help plot/track your exercise.

Yep, tells you your elevation change as well. Some of the other measurements aren't quite accurate though.

My Samsung phone has a built-in health app that does that, too, I think.

MapMyRide is the one for bikes.

True. I know that MapMyRide gives you an option to change from biking to running, walking, etc. Idk about MapMyRun. Like I said earlier, just watch out because other than telling you your time, distance, and elevation change, it's not very accurate.

It's really good though if you ride the same route and want to see how much you improve. Of course, it doesn't take into account stuff like how long you had to stop at a stop sign either. Still a pretty good tool particularly for free.
