The Peach would be a great destination for the team, the program and Bearcat fans.
Whether it's the cumulative impact of the recent on-field success, a nationally known coach, a top rated QB joining the program or some combination of these factors, does anyone believe UC has ever received such positive preseason coverage?
College football fans pay attention to all this. More positive "impressions" in print, online, etc., raise the profile.
While the B12/ACC continue to (quietly) weight the merits of future expansion, Cincy has a chance to race ahead of the pack this season if the Bearcats can deliver on the rosy forecasts for 2014. We've seen recently that realignment hasn't been based upon on-field/on-court success but staying top of mind in the G5 can't hurt either.

If we made the Peach Bowl we would sell 20,000+ tickets; myself included.

Agreed. Both schools would travel well for that one.

Its gonna be hard for a 2-loss team to make the G5 Access bowl. Not only does UC need to run the table in the AAC, but they also need to find a way to win one of the two games against OSU and Miami (FL).

Beating O$U will be a monumental challenge, even if Miller is out. Miami however, is a game we can win. The toughest part is running the conference - that's tough for anyone, but if we can, I think 11-1 will get us to the Access Bowl - and could you imagine the pre-game interview with CTT and the "old ball coach"?

So is it back to being the Peach Bowl, or is it still the Chic-fil-a Bowl, the Chic-fil-a Peach Bowl, the Peach Bowl presented by Chic-fil-a.....

I would love to see a matchup of the "Riverboat Gambler" vs. "The Ole Ball Coach". The media would eat it up and it would be great exposure for UC.

Agree. So are preseason polls.
Nonetheless, nice to see the respect.

I think preseason polls are meaningless in terms of projecting how good or bad a team will be for the upcoming season. However, they are very meaningful in terms of national perceptions (recruiting), fan base excitement (potential early ticket sales), etc. So in that light I don't believe preseason polls are meaningless at all.

OK #1, I'll ammend it:
In terms of what the polls are supposed to measure (i.e. the quality of the on-the-field product of a team)...
PRESEASON POLLS ARE COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS.

Short of a playoff spot, this is an exciting opportunity for high visibility and prestige; way too much football to be played though before we start booking hotels.
