Probably won't. KDSK out of STL filmed the street, house, house number, lawn ornaments, and even neighbor's houses on the 5pm report on Friday. I watched it.. They didn't think they did anything wrong until people began boycotting them.

Meh, I didn't read through the whole thread, but I don't care if he had some leftover weed in his system. Unlike robbing a convenience store, you're not enacting negative force on anyone else. And marijuana typically has a mellowing effect. Guys who would charge an armed officer are more likely to be drunk on legal beer (caveat: If he did charge the officer).

Yep, and because of 24/7 cable news and umpteen million Internet sites, the pressure to be the "first" to report groundbreaking news is greater than when it was ABC/CBS/NBC and the evening newspaper. So those little factoids are pounced on and disseminated immediately.
It's kind of like how that phony phone-caller on Howard Stern's show gets access to live news events so easily. Networks want the scoop so badly, they'll skip the meticulous screening.
