Well duh. I think we've already received the message.

They have already been talking about separating entirely. I think they are just waiting for the right time to spring the news on everyone that new division levels will be created and it will P5, then some G5 teams in the 2nd division, then everyone else. It would not surprise me if new divisions have already been drawn up.

It's been like that for a long time. Every now and then a team can break through (Kansas going 12-1 that one year, UCF last year), but it's rarely sustainable. There are only a few that managed to keep the momentum; teams like Florida (starting 1990 with Spurrier), LSU (starting 2001 with Saban), and Oregon starting (starting 2000 with Belloti).

In other news....Playoff is a problem for Power Five also rans...Playoff is a problem for schools living off past accomplishments...Playoff is a problem for teams that have one more than one loss.

Playoff is a problem for one of the so-called Power 5 conference champions who don't get a seat at the playoff table.

I can't wait for it.

It will eventually create a demand for an expanded playoff.
