Here's an interesting three point stat..Carelton--16 of 35.
while we were 2 of 9.

Live and *** by the three, as they say.

I didn't see anything from our guards as far as driving and finding open players and I didn't see much off the ball movement to find open spots. Spacing on offense was poor

Is this because of the offense itself, or just an emphasis on defense in the workouts so far?

Good point about our practices so far. We've had only 5 and CJP is focusing on D.
It was said that, Carleton has been practicing as a team all Summer and two of their best players are five year players.

No idea, but I think even If you don't understand your offense or don't run an offense in a pickup game, basketball players should intuitively be able to find open spots. Maybe they got caught up too much with having to remember to be in certain spots

Wonder if the Carleton stud would consider a transfer.

He and his brother have already graduated, and are out of eligibility. They just came back to help make the game more competitive. I'd say it worked, lol.

We need to put Rose and CDR on a plane and teach those Canadians a thing or two.

It was said that our players were trying extremely hard to get the D right. Well, they did for the second half. That's pretty good after the Carleton blitz of threes. I am so freakin glad they didn't give up, because, as you said earlier, Carleton's coach kept his starters in and milked the clock at that 3 min mark.

So a Canadian fellow registered last night and came on Roar late last night in the game thread. In his first two posts he explained we were wrong about the Scrubs having graduated. lol. He said, in Canada, players have 5 years of eligibility and the Scrubs were scheduled to graduate in 2015.

Yea, no, I said?

Anyway, I don't think they have trolls in Canada, so I believed him. lol.

Yeah, I read that. I believe him, too. Same difference. We were playing guys with 4 years experience. Same as playing graduated seniors.

Avery Woodson is supposed to be the marksman.

He threw up a clunker yesterday.

Hopefully it was only first game jitters.

"Shaq - Inconsistent. Intensity came and went multiple times. Didn't have too many nice post moves."

Shocking. This team's WW. Good as it gets, with a great game here and there.

Except he hasn't played his first game yet. That is still months away.

Well he wore a basketball uniform yesterday and was on a court with another team and refs and a clock and they kept score.

In that non game, he ran around for 22 minutes and didn't make a basket.

I'm sure he had jitters and will shoot better on this trip though.
