I can predict how this will go. Most USM fans will like the flat black no matter how ugly it is because we had flat black in 2011. Most other fans won't because it's ugly. I like the ones with the black fading into gold.

No, I like the flat black not because of 2011..but because IMO, it looks better. Yes, the season of 2011 was just like icing on the cake..but not the only reason I like them.

The black fading into gold will probably look good..I'll just have to see it with the whole uniform before I can actually judge.

It doesn't matter if it's flat or glossy. The black looks good! Keep 'Southern Miss' and dump the gold helmet. The pictures look great. Keep it

I dunno i think it looks like they ran out of spray paint and said eff it.

I like the glossy one but thats about it. the flat black look like they just put cheap stickers on the helmets. IMO

I really dig the Flat-Black helmet! 2nd favorite is the gloss-black one, though I would like to see that one with the single strip like the one on the flat-black. Good looking options! Strangely enough, the more I view the "Black-Yellow Transition" helmet, the more it grows on me! D@MN am I going to miss the ECU-USM series! I even remember seeing Favre play here in Greenville, growing up! This Pirate will be rooting for your return to dominance!

I wish we could go back to the old "Southern Miss" logo from the late 1990s, i.e. the squared-off one without the corners clipped off. The one we have now has always looked ***** to me... like a bad airline logo.

Don't get me wrong, I'll always be partial to the flat black, but it doesn't look good with the chrome decals.

I liked the first one in the little pictures.
