For all his faults, and he had many, his ability to work with Republicans is something that Obama could learn from. The similarities between their situations is striking but Obama has proven to be such a pathetic leader that he is utterly incapable of working with anybody. His punishment will be being remembered as the worst president ever.

And also why Hillary would have been a better choice in 08.

I agree.

I know some folks who voted for Obama in open primaries who regret voting for Obama in the hopes of keeping Hillary out.

The GOP would have been a better choice in 08. You'd have to be high to think Hillary is ever a good choice.

She's another Marxist just like Obama.

She'd be terrible, but she'd be more of a realist than Obama.

Basically, if I want to be remembered as awesome as I think I am, I'm going to have to work with whatever Congress I get.

and remember that Romney would have been no different than Obama. Remember that lack of intelligence mantra being thrown around?

See how foolish this reasoning is?

Obama is literally the 1 guy out of 100 politicians that were viable that is utterly incapable of working with people with whom he disagrees.

It demonstrates how horrendous Obama is that Hillary would have been a better choice.

In an election between the two I'd vote Hillary every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Why not say, I wish we had voted GOP in 08?

It wasn't going to happen anyway. Obama is black and the country was hell bent on making history.

Indeed. Looks like Reagan is skimming about half of the people who preferred Ron Paul over Mittens.

Let's just be honest here. You can't accomplish **** at the Presidential level unless you're in the two parties or have a billion dollars to throw away.

I'd call it failing miserably. Reagan has doubled Clinton's votes and nearly tripled Paul's. That's what I'd call a straight up ass whipping.

I'm surprised Bill is pulling almost 27% on a message board the leans conservative/libertarian.

Why? I bet you Clinton would have beat obama in the primaries if he would have been able to run again...

However, my vote goes to Reagan since I never got to vote for him when I was a kid.

Exactly. I may not have liked Hillary as a candidate, but I would have expected her to compromise to get what she needed/pushed.

That's the one thing about both Reagan and Clinton. They KNEW which battles they weren't going to win, so they were willing to say , I'll give you that with no major kerfluffle, if you give me ... {that}

I'd take any one of Clinton, Reagan, or Paul over either of the last two inhabitants of the white house. And by a wide margin.
