Me too. But this one is a one-trick pony.

Yes, but as Hayden Fry once said "Even the One Trick pony is good for something."

You might care about recruiting I don't and ASU with their 26+ fans....

1.2 million

WKU with our 18k

2.1 million

What does that tell you?

FREEBIES and a ton of them for ASU...HEY GATES OPEN lets go in. Either that or ASU gave anyone who returned a coke can a ticket.

Or maybe...some fudging is going on with that 26,000 lots and lots of it

I'd be careful continuing to link statistics involving our football team. The last couple were debunked on our board with explanations of why they look that way.

Always some excuse?

At ASU we don't show our numbers
At ASU we don't have to report like everyone else
At ASU we have more money we just don't like showing people

All I see is excuses and no matter if ASU isn't reporting everything...

what you did report shows you are selling tickets for on average less than $8.

And we also averaged 7K more per game thank WKU did. If you don't like it, perhaps maybe WKU should give out freebies. Or perhaps...you already are, its just not as advertised as we do. FYI, 8 dollars is half price from regular tickets. That was what our group rate was here for years.

You go after our reported donations when its been explained to you ad nausea that Arkansas law says you only report donations that go directly into your athletics program. You don't report what was given to your major fundraising arm. We have millions in that bank account.

Your only baseless belief is that our way of doing things is unsustainable because we don't increase ticket buyers...yet your own data shows that ticket sales have gone up at a crazy rate in the last 4 years.

Some of that money is from other sports and even at 1500 *$15 for basketball it's over 300k for ticket sales.

On average doesn't mean every ticket is selling at that price....

I remember you saying 10, 000 season tickets were sold so a lot of the other 16k tickets are WAY WAY WAY under $8

Coming off your best 2 years in your history (at least in most of ya'll lifetimes) ASU still has to do TONS of freebies or $1 tickets

You can spin it anyway you won't but that chart CLEARLY shows a ton of discounted tickets had to be sold or fudging on the attendance numbers

That there is why the Big 12 is not calling....

isn't that the only conference ASU would consider?

Honestly I don't care ANYTHING about recruiting...

once they play Is the point I start caring and as I pointed even then a lot won't be there in 2 years.

As for your post about attendance....

I gues money oesn't matter to ASU because you sure aren't getting any bang for the buck for those butts.

ASU 1.3 mil in ticket sales and donation WKU 5+ million for 2013

This is freaking hilarious. WKU home of the $25 season ticket is giving someone gruff about cheap tickets.

Just looking at your seating chart. The equivalent to my seat at Centennial Bank costs $150 with a $175 donation at WKU. My seat costs $175 with a $200 minimum donation per seat.

You can troll and believe what you want.

USA Today says AState had $400k from the booster club. The Booster Club tax return signed under penalty of perjury says they brought in just over $3 million and spent most of that.

Writer for the Jonesboro Sun told me last year he was going to expose AState padding attendance. Never wrote the story. Know why? He looked at the books. This is the guy who FOI'd the attendance at the freaking Spring Game and wrote an article claiming spring attendance was over-stated based on gate receipts even though everyone under age 18 was admitted free and there were no receipts to count for them.

Since you are the real finance expert and know so much more. Please explain to us why with your new found wealth in CUSA the Toppers were forced to drop a sport because of budget problems.

It's fact boys everyone who has more money or better attendance or even getting better kids and coaches than WKU is cheating or fixing their numbers!

Show it...

should be very easy for you.

I guess it one of those double secret type of deal that only ASU does? Look I showed what ASU reported and all you are doing is running off at the mouth with nothing in print.

Even if ASU "hides" their money what they did report shows...a lack of increase since 2006. So let me guess this all changed after 2006..after that we got all of this double secret reporting of the numbers by ASU

That's just the same as Arkansas state reporting a public athletic budget of 17mill. But yet we have close to 50million in renovations, additions and upgrades. It only doesn't make sense to the weaker minds!

2006 ASU's attendance was 95344 (19,069) take away 3500 for students for a total of 17,500 for the 5 games

Now we have a paid attendance of 77,844 for 2006

ASU reported ticket sales rounded up to 1.5 million dollars

1.5mil / 77844 = a average cost of $19.20 for each ticket sold

Now to the year in question (in the chart)

ASU had a average of 26,398 and a total of 158388 in attendance
ASU reported 1.3 million in ticket sales $8.20 a ticket

I will repeat one of three things happened

1. tons of major discounted tickets...$1 night
2. fudging the numbers
3. both

2006 attendance

Post a link to an official document show ASU reporting a number under what season tickets should have covered. So by your logic everyone outside of season ticket holders got in free?!

Again make sure to keep that walmart job...

ASU had around 9500 season tickets and around 88% of those averaged out to $75 a ticket if we go by this years price and last year was cheaper

so 88% of your season tickets would come to around 600k

Folks We have a genius in RustonCAT

you better keep that walmart job

Nice try.

1.3 mill doesn't even add up to cover season tickets genius!

Again make sure to keep that walmart job...

ASU had around 9500 season tickets and around 88% of those averaged out to $75 a ticket if we go by this years price and last year was cheaper

so 88% of your season tickets would come to around 600k

Again post a link. 1.3 is season tickets no matter who at what level paid what.

It's like talking to a toddler
