B-Lifer would know. Yesterday he stated that Al Golden received accolades after his first season (1-11) for "doing it right". Later he decided to edit said post, saying Golden received accolades after his first "few" seasons. The guy knows college football. How could you question such a memory? Someone who remembers that much Temple football from the early 2000's..........He's your official Temple football almanac.

Even when I made four cents a paper on my paper route I was held accountable. If it was late the customer complained and I'd get reprimanded. I'm just holding DD to the same standard that the delivery boys at the Gazette are held to.

Seems as though the standards are very low at the Gazette now. It appears that quoting other publications qualifies for journalism as long as people leave comments and click the "like" symbol.

At this point Mlive is just happy to have a few marginally happy reporters sticking around in Kalamazoo.

That may be true, and there are probably many circumstances that aren't being taken into account that results in the perception that you have about your myopic take on the coverage.

I will say this in DDs defense. He's probably giving MLIVE their money's worth. Can't blame him if he's unmotivated, but if he wants to get to a better gig he's got to have something to show his next employer beyond quoting other publications.

It's a tough market, I'd imagine being motivated to advance and get a better gig is rough these days. I know people who worked for the Freep and AP that changed careers because of the instability.

Who said the Rivals people were flat out better? Maybe that Couch was better which was nothing to do with what you said.
