Really? I would say that WV is like 80% Scottish and Irish with a few Germans thrown in.

It is one of my favorite things to eat. I've never had the Tampa version with Salami, but I cant imagine it would hurt the flavor any.

Alternative names Cuban mix, Cuban pressed sandwich, Cubano, mixto

Place of origin United States

Region or state Florida

Main ingredients Cuban bread, ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, sometimes salami

Variations Tampa (w/ salami)

Whoa, what were you doing out there in Town N Country? When I expect out-of-towners coming in and getting a cubans, I'm expecting them to go to Ybor. Not a bad choice though.

To keep with the Cuban theme, let's not forget the medianoche:

Some may attempt to say BBQ for Mississippi. Our BBQ is good but it is just Memphis-style and there really aren't that many good BBQ places.

When I think Mississippi, I think fried chicken or fried catfish.

Boudin was on the bubble and was left out thanks to a weak schedule that consisted of mostly home games. In its only true test against strong competition it was smoked by Andouille in a neutral venue at the Lake Charles Refinery Eat Like a Pig Festival and Regatta.
