Do you like this? I don't. Nothing beats real grass, IMO.

Of the 85 college stadiums seating less than 62,000, only 15 have a grass surface:

NC St
Purdue
Iowa St
Georgia Tech
Colorado
East Carolina
Stanford
Northwestern
UCF
TCU
UConn
Duke
New Mex St
Florida Atlantic
Georgia Southern

Arizona also has a grass field. http://www.arizonawildcats.com/ViewArtic...=208232687

Yeah, I am fine with it. It looks pretty good. At least they didn't go crazy with it and kept it simple.

It beats the brown grass, the mud and the flying turf divots every November.

I went by Wiki, which said Arizona switched to FieldTurf in 2013.

I speculate the reason for the proliferation of artificual turf in smaller stadiums vis a vis larger ones is that: 1) smaller stadiums mean less revenue, and 2) FieldTurf has been proven to be less expensive to maintain.

Among larger stadiums (i.e. plenty of revenue) that have FieldTurf, many are in cold or wet climates which may explain the choice.
