Awesome! Maybe this will take the place of CSS. I know everyone complained about CSS coverage but at least I got to watch UAB games on the channel.

Not all but a good deal more. 6 this year. 30 C-USA football games overall. The deal will also include some basketball and soccer.

9 of our games televised total with a good chance Arkansas will be picked up bringing it to 10. When we go to a bowl that will make 11. I don't think we have ever had that many football games televised.

2014 UAB Football Schedule

Date - Opponent, Location, Time
Aug. 30 - TROY (FOX College Sports), Birmingham, Ala., 11:00 a.m.
Sept. 6 - at Mississippi State (FOX Sports Net), Starkville, Miss., 1:00 p.m.
Sept. 13 - ALABAMA A&M (ASN), Birmingham, Ala., 2:30 p.m.
Sept. 27 - FIU* (ASN), Birmingham, Ala., 2:30 p.m.

Oct. 4 - at Western Kentucky*, Bowling Green, Ky., TBA
Oct. 11 - NORTH TEXAS* (HC) (ASN) - Birmingham, Ala., 2:30 p.m.
Oct. 18 - at Middle Tennessee* (FOX College Sports), Murfreesboro, Tenn., 2:30 p.m.

Oct. 25 - at Arkansas, Fayetteville, Ark., TBA
Nov. 1 - at Florida Atlantic* (ASN), Boca Raton, Fla., 6:00 p.m.
Nov. 8 - LOUISIANA TECH* (ASN), Birmingham, Ala., 11:00 a.m.

Nov. 22 - MARSHALL*, Birmingham, Ala., 12:00 p.m.
Nov. 29 - at Southern Miss* (ASN), Hattiesburg, Miss., 2:30 p.m

+1

This is like an upgrade to CSS. When the original TV list came out, I thought that CSS would have picked up another 3-4 games. Maybe this will open up some games to be picked up by the local ABC or whatever if they are not on a channel in B'ham.

Not great news for UAB fans living outside of Birmingham, I suspect. Who needs Fox or ESPN when you have Sinclair.

Do they own 68 as well? I suppose it wouldn't matter which one the games are aired on.

Awesome news! Even for people outside the area, considering it will probably make for more firstrow streams.

You're almost as ridiculous as the WKU fan on the C-USA board who doesn't think games should be on TV at all. 05-stirthepot

To be fair to MB, and myself, there aren't Sinclair networks in Memphis or Atlanta. :/ http://www.sbgi.net/business/television.shtml
