I will take that and be very happy with it. We have had scholarship players produce less.

RE: Nik Biberaj
To be honest, I completely forgot about Arledge in my 20 minute guess for Nik. That certainly has an impact. I guess the question will be how quickly Arledge picks up our system. Remember, Nik has been playing in it for a year now. Great to be in a situation where we have competition for minutes in the low post as opposed to not having a typical low post presence. This all only makes things better for the upcoming season. I'm ready for some ODU Football and I can't wait for ODU Hoops - what a great situation we are in as fans. #ProudToBeAMonarch

I dropped by to see odu men scrimmage recently and came away with a better understanding of this years team and the new players. First,Arledge looks good but he is not a post player. He is a forward, probably 4 spot. Clark looks real good.He will play and contribute. He will play 2 and 3 spot. Palmore looks good.I didn't realize what a good athlete he is ( 360 dunk ) Ross is a beast. He is stronger than ever. The freshman Zoran Talley is a pure shooter with a great stroke. Probably needs a year to grow and get stronger but he has a great future. Freeman is the team leader and will run the show at point. Moseley has gotten bigger and stronger. He is shooting the ball great.Douglas is not here yet but word is he is doing well in summer school and will be eligible. He will play 3 spot. I understand he is a guard forward type player. Nik Biberaj is the only player we have who can play with his back to the basket. He is and has been improving daily.Frank Hassell is a believer.Nik is a good 6ft 8 or more. He is not as athletic as some but he is tough and will take the ball to the hole as well as hit the 3 pointer. We are deep this year. I think we will play a lot of different combinations before settling on a starting line up. Goes without saying Bacote looked good.

Thanks for the update! I needed a basketball fix. I'm excited to see what the team can do next year. If what you say about Nik pans out, I'll be thrilled.
Any way you look at it, having a much better outside shooting game from our guards is going to make life easier for our bigs. Imagine what Frank or Lee would have done if someone could have consistently hit the long ball.

Any word on how Taylor and Ebondo are progressing?

Ebondo helped last year and for that we should be grateful. I don't see him figuring in the mix this year. He seems to be a team player and will be an asset in practices. Taylor has gained some weight. He is fundamentally sound on defense and rebounds good. He has little or no offensive skills as far as shooting the ball but understands the game and makes the players around him better. We have scorers this year so he will play some, not as much as last year but some.

I think Taylor plays a lot. He's the best defender on the team by a healthy margin. Palmore is pretty good at D as well

RE: Nik Biberaj
I agree w ODUR8R about playing time for Taylor. He may not be polished on offense but I expect him to get his share of time on the court. Coach Jones said last year that Taylor could develop into an elite defensive player in CUSA. That means playing time. Am not sure how minutes will be distributed in the post but I think we will see plenty of Taylor, especially if he has scores around him, which we should.
