Hopefully none. This is a year to win all FCS and G5 games. The issue needs to be pressed on this.
I agree. Will be an entertaining season for a number of different reasons.

I'd like our chances against State except that it's the very first game of the year.
Savannah State is a win unless something extraordinary causes us to have to forfeit.
Tech is winnable as our defensive players have played against that offense enough and are familiar with it. All depends on how well the offense is doing by this game.
By the Navy game I think we'll be good enough that it'll be 50-50.

UAB - new HC with ties to the state. Good motivator and a new locker room. This could lean towards the Men of Troy provided the tweaks to the secondary pay off. I like what we have on the D Line, plus the new DTs, the LBs will be solid.
Duke - They bring back a couple receivers that looked all-world against our secondary, but the man that ran the show transferred. The coastal champs won 38-31. I'm sure they'll find a QB, but not before we woodshed them in week 2.
ACU - From what I've read, they have a pretty decent offense. This game should give the Trojans some time to scheme and rest for the next game on the schedule.
UGA - This one is a longshot if we can't get outside the tackles...former TROY DT coach Rocker is on their sideline. Their young secondary vs TROY receivers...I'm paying good money to see this one.
ACU is a dangerous team. They have a high powered offense and not too far removed from DII Lone Star Conference.

I agree Navy can be a winnable game but I don't know about 50-50?

At one point, ACU had the #2 HS OT in the country in Will Latu. Transfer from OU I believe. They also had the #2 HS All Purpose back in the country in Herschel Sims. With Latu and Sims, it was easy to run off right tackle every play. Sims had 8.4 ypc at OKSTATE. He is still on the team, though Latu has moved on. Herschel will give Troy fits. They have a DB and a DT from big schools as well. I believe Texas and Oklahoma. They are not Savannah State and if Troy acts like they are, Troy could lose. That said, I think Troy's offense will smother them. ACU can hang around of offense, but Troy will likely score every possession.

In 2010 we lost to them as an FCS by 6. With a new coach and a "new" offense. I bet we win that game at home or later in the season.

Always interesting to hear an analysis like that. If your defensive players are familiar with their offense, you can bet they know yours pretty well too. Most GS fans are saying not much is going to change, just that the ratio of run to pass will add in a few more passes per game.
