So what do you think his chances are of sticking somewhere? I actually think he's got a shot at a 3rd backup, if he can get his 3 pt. percentage up.
Pretty close to zero. Putting it bluntly, Joe doesn't have the heart and fearlessness to make it in the NBA. Unless that magically changes I don't see him in the NBA or every reaching his athletic potential.
Fair enough. Certainly nothing in his college career tells me he has that intangible spark that could get him to the NBA, although I do disagree about this heart.
It's a semantic thing, call it grit, heart, panache, whatever. He hasn't shown it and guys don't tend to develop that. Wait are we talking about Adonis or Joe? I'm having deja vu.

I see your point, it's the exact reason I think the Grizz should have taken Napier. He has that, very few players do. They are hoping Adams develops it, but I remember the last time they took a player with great college stats but no athletic ability and passed on a PG who showed nothing but heart in college.
1. played all 40 minutes against the Gators.
2. scoring 17 points, five assists, two steals, 6-for-6 from the free throw line, one turnover.
Donovan said and I quote:
“I mean, he is a totally different player today than he was as a sophomore,” Donovan said. “There has been a lot of criticism on that kid. That kid is a hell of a player. I think he almost single-handedly won the game for them.”
“Scottie Wilbekin is as good of a defender as there is in the country, and he had a really hard time with (Jackson).”
Go JJ! Most fans got your back, not that you need it.
I feel privileged to have seen you in a Tiger's uni.

Jackson scored 15 of his 18 points after intermission leading Memphis to a 67-58 victory over No. 18 SMU on Saturday.
I posted the video of the UTEP game in the tourney, that knocked them out of the NCAA. I disagree with Rob's opinion on JJ, but understand his point if he believes that JJ disappeared in some big games.

Kemba Walker had it too, look how average he is. Napier has other flaws. I see him as a poor man's Curry. I will say that he ended up in the best spot for him in Miami. There will be so much space for him to work with playing alongside Lebron. Should be able to max out his abilities there. Adams is a good player but I don't understand the fit. Personally, I would have drafted Hood. Grizz need some athleticism and shooting on the wing and that's exactly what Hood does.

What makes you think that order came directly from Jesus, when the upper ranks of the dominions and powers were clamoring for Burton--just sayin

Coaches decision, pissed the Hollins off.
Jesus said since Joe was a future pro he didn't need to practice like the others.

Perhaps to you.
But it is this style that generates (on a MEMPHIS TIGER board) the backlash aimed at the Grizzlies instead of just enjoying the additional team.
While the run to the conference finals in 2013 was a lot of fun- first round exits the prior year and this past year- not so much. During this best ever four year stretch for the Grizzlies, they have gone 3-4 in playoff series. For comparison sake, San Antonio has gone 9-3, OKC 8-4 and Miami 14-2.
While needling potshots at the Tigers are expected- and for some even encouraged- in what was considered a disappointing season by many last year still ended up with a lock NCAA tourney and an advancement- quite interesting indeed.
It is in REACTION to posts like the above that make these sill comparisons that gets the responses. Otherwise, it would be simply looking forward to 40 odd professional games in town plus hopefully some playoff games too- which is indeed fun.

If far less interesting most of the time.
That's how it looks to me too. Funny/not so funny thing is... it happens again and again and again... lol...

Just an opinion, no need to extrapolate anything more than that. I should have said Grizz playoff games have been the most exciting basketball events in the city the past few years. I've had the feeling the past few years that if Grizz got a few breaks they could compete for a title, even though there's a small chance of it happening. Haven't had that feeling with the Tigers. It's not a needling potshot or anything, just the truth from where I sit.

The awesome fan that never has anything good to say about anything. 10 to 1 scared? What a joke. Awesome fan you are. Your time would be better spent convincing recruits not to go to Memphis.

Compelling argument but I'll stick with what I saw. Being a fan doesn't mean you worship everyone who puts on the jersey beyond reason, or at least to me it doesn't.
