I wanted the survey to ask if I wanted UC to still schedule Xavier home and home, or give a chance to suggest we play Dayton, or ask if we preferred campus to downtown, or other big issues like that.
Being Engineer of the month is a fine goal. Kudos to your daughter for aspiring to it.
Boring those of us who are there for a sports event with an announcement about the "Engineer of the Month" just doesn't matter. It's not an accolade big enough to warrant letting 10K know. Rhodes Scholar, Truman Scholar, something else of national importance would be worth announcing at a game but Engineer of the Month?
I'm not interested in who it is and I won't remember who it was two seconds after they make the announcement. On top of that the audio and video is so poorly done you can't make out what they are saying anyway. The UC Health doctor stuff unless it is athletics related should be canned too.

The DJ is awesome...
Survey: Received it and was happy with just about everything.
DJ: for those that made the road trip to Rutgers (Football) they have a DJ with a turntable and he plays throughout the game... even plays some of his own mixes.

RE: BBall survey
Hawkeye - Freaking hilarious and genius Now, I hope that is the last response in this thread dossbig gets. His comment about Mick didn't deserve nearly as many as he got.
Sub - If what you say about the DJ is correct, I guess the school has the students' interests in the forefront, and thus, there are enough of them at the games to justify it. At least, I sure hope my logic isn't flawed there.
The common gist seems to be comments from bctn8n, Superfly, Bearcat2012 and apoe's comments about everything else but the game (concessions, concourse, etc.). Biggest problem with Nippert as well, it seems.

RE: BBall survey
Perhaps I know nothing about BB, but I have talked to 2 former UC starting guards who both have told me MC is a horrible offensive coach. One who uses the same barber has these credentials, his name is on the UC AA wall, 1000 point scorer, 4 year starter, Indiana BB HOF, IN Mr. BB. Asked if he follows UC BB under MC he said "No I cannot stand to watch the awful offense"
The man played at the highest college level and not just HS in the GCL.

Funny stuff.
And Collier's senior year his team averaged 69 pts a game and didn't make the NCAA tournament. The year before they got POUNDED by Marquette in the first round. Ask him what was so special about that offense?
And from there UC proceeded to NOT make the NCAA tournament for 14 straight years - until 1992
Obviously it is every persons decision to follow a program or not and I have no beef with a guy like that deciding not to for whatever reason. But one thing is just not debatable - great offense or not - this team and this program is soo much better and stronger than the beginning of the dark ages period when Collier was here.

So you actually believe Huggins was hired in 1992?

RE: BBall survey
Was there anything on the survey about the layout of the arena? Or would that go along with atmosphere? Because as bad as the concessions are, and they are bad, the 4 empty spaces in the corners make the whole arena looks absolutely horrible. I think you'd be hard pressed to find an uglier overall arena in college basketball.

They asked about seating. They also asked about layout (mostly the concourse and concessions, bathrooms, etc.) as I recall.
