47, now you are just plain losing it. Try to get serious. The season will be here before you know it. Call in and get permission to go watch one of those Saturday workouts in South Haven. You might learn a thing or two.

And how do you interpret this line 47?

Quote:Last week's game was 100% my fault.
I would interpret this to mean he realizes his system sucks, he doesn't have a game plan, his defensive preparation is non-existent, and his players were not ready to go. Apart from that, anything I missed is also his fault. His and Obama's.

Ern, you act like we're the only team in America than works out on Saturdays or runs on beaches.

Schembechler Hall has had a sand pit in it for years, Ohio State has a hill they run regularly for example.

Nicol may be a good SAC coach but he's not reinventing the profession or training methods here.

Don't let one video get you running your shorts up the flag pole quite yet.

I see it as pure silliness. Nothing is ever 100% the coaches fault. Sometimes it is more that the players were not ready to go.

Yes, he should have said it was 77.4% my fault, then he wouldn't look so silly. He's young, just not think'n it through like us wiser Stampede guys.

Paul Brown said, "When you lose, say little. When you win, say even less."

Fleck just cannot stop talking until eventually he says something that comes back to haunt him.

I think he was vaccinated at a young age with a phonograph needle.

Hopefully he matures in that area (and others) this year.

Fleck is very ADD. Not always a bad thing for a manager, they're very productive. They do tend to run their mouth too much.

Cubit was more soft spoken, but had kind of a Jersey dialect and it didn't always come of as brilliant. Tended to ramble a bit, and probably used the phrase "it's hard" too much.

Point being these guys are coaches first and public speakers somewhere down the list. Matt Kanan needs to get with him and train him like he did Hiller. That kid could give you a lengthy answer full of upbeat cliches and not an ounce of controversy. As Couch used to say he's a journalists nightmare.

I think you hit the nail on the head here CD. I hope pj has someone that he listens to and can give him some guidance. Less is more for sure. Save the rambling for the recruits who seem to dig it.

He is in a job that you are held accountable for what you say and do. He gets paid a good amount of money to do this job. 99% of the time he is saying great things. As much as we goof on his videos I showed several of them to my son because he was saying stuff that kids need to hear from someone other than their dad.

Notice all the power cleans. Possibly the best lift of all for building functional strength.

Doesn't matter if they're not coached! 01-lauramac2

That reminds me of my one sales position I had, I had to tell this sales manager that he needed to be nice to me because my son was going to be a rich dentist and I needed to lend him my cell phone, never mind we hadn't heard of those at that time....

A couple things. Maybe it's because it's in the dark, but I'm not impressed with Miami's weight room. Very happy with our recent renovations in comparison.

Let's be honest, if WMU posted this video, a few posters would be all over it with criticism. At the very least, we aren't the only school doing these sorts of things. The kids obviously respond and like it.

Almost everyone is doing something different these days. One of the big ones that I used my last couple years and many schools including wmu are teaching punching and kicking techniques. If u go back a few videos ago u will see a ufc heavy bag in our weight room. Learning how to explode and punch quickly and hard is great for blocking and defense. Kettle bells are my new favorite.
