The Guru known as TC has already told us we won't get Skal with Lawson's coming on board.

FWIW, Martin did the write-up below on Skal's affinity for Memphis yesterday. Also yesterday, Gary Parrish was in Vegas talking about how Pastner will be anywhere Skal is during the tournament out there. If Skal is decidedly going somewhere else, no one has told Pastner.

That is encouraging. However, who knows what a high school senior will decide? At that age, I could have been influenced to make almost any decision by some cute little teeny-bopper. I'm sure kids today can be swayed by any number of things.

The key for me is that if the decision is not for Memphis, I promise not to let it ruin my day.

I just don't think Skal will go to UK. So unless someone else becomes seriously involved, I still think he is a future tiger.

It be a bad move to go to UK. Cal has hit a log jam at the moment with stud big men. Look at Marcus Lee, he probably will not get meaningful playing time this year

He won't think that way. Cal will tell him that if he can't get off the bench at UK, you are not going pro.

Coach X asks for money from a high level alumni booster, then funnels the money (let's say 100k) to Johnny Blaze (Superstar Sports Agent).
Johnny Blaze happens to represent many Pro Wing Athletes.
Mr. Blaze kicks in another 50k, and gets close to Player Z and family.

150 K, and a shoe contract when he turns pro from Pro Wings is offered to Player Z, and all he has to do is go to Big U for 2 years, and let Blaze be his agent when he enters the NBA draft?
