If we are being honest. Other than in the minds of us idiots on this board. And yes, I am including myself in that comment. WMU is already WAY OFF THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL MAP.

I think we and those in the WMU Athletic Dept look at our football program and a big time team, just a half step under the UofM, ND and MSUs of the world. When in reality the rest of the country either doesn't have a clue who we are or looks at us in much the same way we would see a Louisiana-Lafayette or a Florida Atlantic or a Middle Tennessee St. For the most part, those are 3rd tier schools who the big boys schedule as filler games and guaranteed W's

We will fall way off now if things keep up.

What keeps up? Right now the only thing happening is recruiting, if that KEEPS UP things should look pretty good.

Seasons in a row worse than the previous is what I meant by "this keeping up". Appears we are being conditioned for yet another disaster this fall.

We have been going backwards and the last time I checked, the record means more than recruiting rankings that are based on a few key players that probably won't stick around to Wear RTB on their helmits.

Another pearl of wisdom from Mr. Positivity. Try looking up for once. It just might make your day better. Here in Kalamazoo the attitude is pretty positive about the outlook for this year. Sorry it is a dust storm out in the desert.

Not this board but people I've talk to or listened to in restaurants, sports bars and on the street. Not saying MAC champs, but a much more positive attitude than at end of last season.

You locals were always cute with you positive "Mr Green Jeans" outlook. I miss that about Kalamazoo.

I hav not heard anything in kazoo other than we have become a joke. Only indifferent people I have talked to are college students ready to get drunk and skip out at halftime.

After all the hype last year, playing Sparty close-ish, getting a good turnout to the first home game of the season and...Fleck destroyed it all on that fateful Saturday night in September by getting completely outplayed by lowly Nicholls State.

The stands will be empty this year. It's an uphill battle from here on out. Our boy PJ better show something on the field real quick or we'll have an EMU situation on our hands. Lowly team. Empty stadium. Dead program.

What's that this new first-year head coach is doing over there in Ypsi?

New field turf you say?

Massive fundraising efforts?

New sayings and motto's like "The Factory" and "E.-T.O.U.G.H." that's meant to represent the Eagles are going to outwork their opponents on the field?

This all sounds eerily familiar...

Man, I bet the locals can't wait until this used car salesman-like guy leaves town! He should focus more on football and winning than all of these gimmicky marketing and recruiting tactics.

While I tend to agree with your statements, the difference between our schools is that Eastern hired a head coach and Western did not. Now the proof will be in the pudding as they say. Will Coach Creighton make Eastern competitive? We have to wait for the season to begin.

Pj is making us "elite," not competitive.

Can Creighton dance? Haven't seen his videos yet. Did he hire a DJ? Does he use cool catch-phrases like "Nekton"?

Otherwise, how do you expect to win?
