yeah it does. the two are completely different social networks that is aimed at completely different things. they are totally different things and nowhere near comparable.

I disagree to an extent... They are both the same thing, a social network.

Even if you think their different target audience makes them something which can not be compared it's still not an item on which you should base your view of someone else's intelligence.

imo, most of the blame should fall onto parents....

A large chunk of the parents who raised the Millennial generation were kids raised during the late 60's and 70's. This is when our nation took a big trip into the land where self gratification is one of the primary drivers in life and when gender roles began to become "evil things" which should be avoided.

the loss of gender roles played a huge part in raising a generation of people who cant parent.

Quote:But all previous generations always call the next one dumb and immature, so this "argument" is kinda blown out of proportion.

If not for the trend of the last two I would agree with you. But the X'ers and the Millenials have gotten progressively worse. We confuse technical aptitude for wisdom and intelligence.

My worry is not that the Millenials are stupid, all kids are stupid. My worry is that at the age of 25-30 so many of them consider themselves "kids" and that so many are not being equipped by their parents, or by life, to raise a solid generation of kids.

As in both parents taking an equal part in the upbringing of children? Women taking a larger role in the workforce?

(Just asking for specifics, not trying to put words into your mouth)

here let me show you how the millennials see those issues.......

-in favor of taking away womens rights and forcing their will on someone else in the name of a christianized version of sharia law

-in favor of taking away peoples rights and forcing their will on someone else in the name of a christianized version of sharia law. a political group that is as bad as the segregationists of the 1960s and are legitimately trying to block civil rights

-started a pointless war that will define this country for the next 30 years and leaves us with huge amounts of bills to pay.

-debt cause by a GOP president who had a "I don't give a f***" attitude." a recession caused by republicans and now the GOP wants to keep on implementing the same sort of policy in the early 2000s that lead to that recession.

for someone who calls me "misinformed" you clearly have no understanding of reality.

Both my parents worked outside the home and split housework but there were dad jobs around the house and mom jobs. There were things my mother did for us and things my father did for us.

My wife stays home with the kids, who are too young for school. though we split work. Gender roles have more to do with the parental niche you fill and less to do with employment or chore distribution.

My two school age girls had career day at school a few weeks ago. One wants to be an Olympic runner and the other a stay at home mom. We were sure to reenforce in both the need to position themselves to be independent and employable in other fields in case their dreams don't materialize.

I want my daughters to be lady like, gentle, and nurturing. That does not mean weak, passive, or submissive to the point of fault.

1) Stop spreading your legs without protection. It doesn't get much simpler than that, and has absolutely NOTHING to do with taking a woman's rights away from her or "sharia law". You sound like a damn retard when you say that.

2) Civil Unions. You had em, they haven't been a problem til now, you could have gotten rules and regulations implemented into them for beneficial reasons but that wasn't good enough, your only plan for marriage is to redefine something Christians deem a religious act because they disagree with the redefinition of the term. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with civil rights or "sharia law." Again, you sound like a damn retard when you say that.

3) That is yet another opinion that's been brainwashed into susceptible youth who are too young to think for themselves.

4) Blaming Bush has grown old and tasteless. The debt may have grown immensely under a GOP president, but it was controlled by democrats, so own it, buddy, it's all yours.

which is why I ask: are you trolling me?

No, I just find it amusing that comparing two social networking sites which *YOU* use differently is enough to disregard someones intelligence.

By the way a better comparison of Linked-in and Facebook would be your kids carpool versus a Taxi... not an 18 wheeler and a car...

Taxi's tend be be cleaner and better cared for than the car pool vehicle used by your neighbor.

But all of those points are misinformed. So what point are you trying to make? Every time you post you simply confirm the original assertion.

You are misinformed, and resolutely insist on staying that way.

that is the view that they have of republicans wether misinformed or not.

Which just reaffirms the initial premise of this thread.

i wouldn't call those views misinformed though.

Which just reaffirms the initial premise of this thread.

Yeah, we all get it, many millennials think certain things.

They also think they're right, regardless of empirical facts.

Moreover, they are resistant to change because college.

What part of "stuck on stupid" did you not understand, so much so that you repeatedly the hypothesis in your own words and adamantly declared it's true?
