We're allowed to bring in a re-usable water bottle though to cut down on waste at the stadium from plastic water bottles. Nobody checks them, so it is easy enough to bring in liquor if you want.

What entrance do you use, because I need to use it too! I was asked on more than one occasion to empty the contents of my water bottle prior to entering the stadium. And this was water in a water bottle. Never mind the two beers I chugged walking to the stadium and standing in line. 04-cheers

Basic info for visiting fans at Charlotte. Get your drink on before entering, then enjoy the game as you sober up. No re-entry and no alcohol sales in the stadium. But plenty of free water if you bring a bottle or reuse a cup from concessions.

Regarding the "water bottle refill stations", I laughed at all the people lining up to refill their water bottles at those special water bottle refil stations. There was a regular water fountain right beside them, yet none of them were using it. I simply walked up pass all of them standing in line, filled my cup using the regular water fountain, and went back to watch the game. They all looked at me like I was nuts. Kind of funny, actually.

True, it's 100 degrees in the stadium and the line is 12 deep. I walk up to the double water fountain with no line and people look at me like "Is that the same stuff? Will that fit in my bottle?" LOL.

Looking forward to visiting some of these CUSA Stadiums. It's awesome that on campus stadiums in some of these states permit beer sales.

I also laughed at the bottle refill line as I filled my cup from the fountain. One time literally everyone looked at me like I was insane and I said to the whole line "Its water people..........water".

If you really need a beer you can step up your contribution and go to the Hospitality Deck overlooking the field on the Football Center in the end zone at halftime. Free beer, wine, and food through the midpoint of the 3rd quarter. It is a great social scene. I don't know that it is worth writing the check to get in, but if you are already there it is a great benefit.

View from the deck--

I always bring a couple of airplane bottles in at Charlotte, and never had any issues. It's also only $1 for souvenir cup refills so it's very airplane bottle friendly.

At Western it's $5 for a 16 oz Miller Lite Coors Lite or Bud. Maybe a Mich Ultra too

If you have a lady friend the tampon flasks are an easy way to sneak liquor in.

Up until a few years ago, you could bring a sealed water bottle into the game with you. It was the last item on the list of do's/dont's. It never specified size. I once brought a gallon of vodka into the game. Just resealed the jug using a lighter. 03-drunk

There is no way I could watch Southern Miss football during the last two seasons and not be drunk. So I find ways. If this season is like that again, I'll smuggle bleach into the stadium.

Last year, I saw the same guys in my section every game get escorted to the trash can to throw away their beers. Never kicked out, really weird. They would continue to crack them open until security came down.

I used the binocular flask until I got busted.....the funny part about it was they gave it back to me at halftime and just laughed at me....it's pretty easy to make fun of me.....

RE: Beverages at the Game
Since I started this thread I suppose I should explain what it's like at Foreman Field at S. B. Ballard Stadium.

There's an area in the stadium where beer can be purchases but its access is limited to Premium Seating ticket holders. And of course there're beer and booze in the suites. No food or drink is allowed to be brought into the stadium and a nominal search is conducted at the gates but there are a lot of empty airplane bottles to be found in the aisles after the game. I don't think we've had any major incidents in the few years we've been doing this so hopefully entry will continue to be casual for a few more years, unlike Virginia Tech. You're almost subjected to a body cavity search to get into Lane Stadium.

Old Monarch it's funny how some fans can enjoy a drink at a game and some can't. Thankfully us at Western, even as low brow as me, can drink a beer for $5 and not have to sit In a special section.
