Beverages at the Game
For the benefit of all the new folk, how about some insight into how vigorously stadium management at your university enforces rules concerning adult beverages in the stands.

Thanks.

Pretty much the same at Middle Tennessee.

Not allowed at Charlotte.

We're allowed to bring in a re-usable water bottle though to cut down on waste at the stadium from plastic water bottles. Nobody checks them, so it is easy enough to bring in liquor if you want.

Rice has a section roped off in the upper deck where you can drink and watch the game.

Last year, I saw the same guys in my section every game get escorted to the trash can to throw away their beers. Never kicked out, really weird. They would continue to crack them open until security came down.

Good point: disclaimers.

At the Alamodome your bags and purses will be checked. You cannot bring inside any food or drink. You must have an ID showing you are 21 years or older to buy beer or alcohol. Beer is available throughout the Alamodome. Alcohol and wine are only available in the club level.

The club level entry is sometimes monitored. That is, there is usually always someone at the door but they rarely ask to see your ticket. I've only been asked three times to show my ticket as I entered the club level since our football program started.

Nope, in an open part of a stadium, that with tarp, is still 22.94% larger than yours!

What entrance do you use, because I need to use it too! I was asked on more than one occasion to empty the contents of my water bottle prior to entering the stadium. And this was water in a water bottle. Never mind the two beers I chugged walking to the stadium and standing in line. 04-cheers

Basic info for visiting fans at Charlotte. Get your drink on before entering, then enjoy the game as you sober up. No re-entry and no alcohol sales in the stadium. But plenty of free water if you bring a bottle or reuse a cup from concessions.

Regarding the "water bottle refill stations", I laughed at all the people lining up to refill their water bottles at those special water bottle refil stations. There was a regular water fountain right beside them, yet none of them were using it. I simply walked up pass all of them standing in line, filled my cup using the regular water fountain, and went back to watch the game. They all looked at me like I was nuts. Kind of funny, actually.

True, it's 100 degrees in the stadium and the line is 12 deep. I walk up to the double water fountain with no line and people look at me like "Is that the same stuff? Will that fit in my bottle?" LOL.

Looking forward to visiting some of these CUSA Stadiums. It's awesome that on campus stadiums in some of these states permit beer sales.

MT has already been said, but at Miami [Sun Life Stadium] beer is sold and there are only a few "Family Sections" where they purposefully are on the lookout for that sort of thing.

At UTEP all bags are checked and you cannot bring in any outside food or drink. Beer is sold in the Sun Bowl until the start of the 4th quarter. CSI security looks for people that brought alcohol in undetected and they will be escorted out of the stadium.
