I actually got my hands on a few jerseys this morning. Not too crazy about the sleeves.

I understand what they are going for. Dragon scales. Always room for improvement. Glad we've been signed w/ nike. For some reason, I don't think that's the final product. But.... If they've already shown them to the team.

I always wanted a green basketball jersey that looks like dragon scales.

Those sleeves look like upside down valentine hearts. I don't care about uniforms as long as we have the needed personnel to put inside them.

We have one of the coolest mascots, I like that we are finally taking advantage of it. I have seen the big dragon heads on the helmets. They are bad ass. They are bigger than the old ones.

Not sure i'm crazy about the sleeves either, but I will not be a fashion critic about them. I do think the gold pants could work with both though. I don't think we have any bad color combinations. White, green, or gold. Black is the best though.

I love tradition and keeping some things sacred. But I also think some schools have done a good job of creating a cool uniform that fans and students have gotten excited about. I think of TCU with the scaley uniforms and helmets they had a couple of years back.

I would love to keep the big head dragon as the focal point of our helmet from now on (as many of us have said for years)!!! I'm thrilled about this news!

The unique uniforms have worked for Oregon, Boise st, Baylor, Arizona st, ok st, Stanford, Mississippi st.

Not many teams in the South east have tried to go with unique uniforms and committed to the them. Maybe it'll bring some energy and excitement to UAB. Then hopefully it leads to wins and helps out on the recruiting front.

Kids love it. Every little bit helps in recruiting.

Most of the schools in the SEC fans are ultra-traditionalist who would go nuts if you tried to tinker very much with their uniforms!

Speaking of uniforms and such, what might the UAB staff adopt as a helmet sticker to acknowledge outstanding play? Like the UGA bone, the Ohio State Buckeye leaf or symbols used by some other schools to enable players to be rewarded for outstanding plays. Maybe a little Vulcan sticker?

My idea was a little dot that says UAB to make Mackin happy. I think it is a good idea, good motivation and recognition for the players.

Hopefully we will see new merchandise to buy fan day this Sunday.

I doubt they ever will, but I was just idea brainstorming for possible designs that might be suggested.
